Was he the best OT available? Hopefully, but Dawand Jones was there as well.  Just like last year when we could have taken Hutchinson or Walker, we will look back for this year and see if Harrison was the right tackle over Jones

Agreed.

I give it an A every year.  So I guess my grade doesn't mean much.

How can you not have faith each year when they have a proven historical track record of successful drafts.

He absolutely was the best tackle available. They were ready to pick him at 24 but were able to grab additional picks and still get him at 27. Apparently the Jags had a trade in the works to move down again with the Saints but the Bengals would have taken Harrison at 28.

Baalke nailed the first round man. Well done.

Was it just me or did Calijah Kancey not appear ecstatic about being selected by the Buc's?

No doubt, almost as bad as someone posting up that freaky dude doing the Jagwiring dance Angry . It should bring about a mandatory/voluntary self ban of about two weeks.

Hall of jaguar shame.

Best player from all of these classes ended up being Brandon Marshall and he ended up being signed a year later by the Broncos where he had a few years of success. Played in two Superbowls I think. Won one. Lost one.

Rackley was horrible. Im just glad we dont have any more Guy Whimpers on the team. Hes best play was at TE. Its bad when your G is a better TE than G

He was but if you're gonna draft a punter before rd 6 they'd better be a perennial all pro and Hall of Famer.

Grade? Not a clue, but I may as well throw my ten pence in late as it may be.

Wasnt probably the way many of us hoped the first round would go but as I always say, you've just got to play the hand you're dealt and in fairness to Baalke i think he played a bum hand pretty well! Eagles turned them over, got lucky and found a couple of kings, Baalke flipped ours and found someone has left the joker in the pack . As soon as the news about Robinson slipped out he was going into the sword fight with one arm behind his back and having had his rapier swapped for a stick of celery!

I'm not really sure what else he was meant to do! There wasn't really a credible way to come out of this draft without a decent tackle! The players he was likely hoping to target on a good day were scuppered inside the top ten, and he was trading down from at least a slightly compromised position. It wasn't far off a damage limitation job really so to come out of it with a few extra picks and a kid who seems to have a lot of promise i think is a pretty creditable effort from the front office! Here's hoping we have a bit more luck on day two  Smile

B+. According to how the additional pics give us mobility to move up to pick up one or two more contributors, solid A. I have a lot of faith in Baalke and Pederson.

I think Blackmon was unquestionably the most talented.  He also proved to be the dumbest.

Anton will probably be our starting LT for now. When Robinson comes back Anton will go to RT.

Lol, our best LT will play LT in Walker Little.  He will beat out the rookie if there is a LT competition and he will solidify the LT spot by the time Cam is back.  Cam might just play LG when he comes back.
