We've drafted a lot of guys so OTA'S should be interesting to see who stands out. Seem to be giving themselves some options and a few battles to make the roster.
The big difference this time, we have a HC that can develop talent for once. Can't have every guy be a costly FA or high draft pick. I thought it was a really solid draft overall. Time will tell of course. But I can envision a lot of these guys contributing.

Wish they would have taken Vorhees, however, since they had so many late picks and could afford to sit him for a year. I was super disappointed in Day 2 and was again in Day 3. I really like the Antonio Johnson pick, but that's about it. A couple other picks may be ok, but none of them excite me. I also hated the overall strategy of not only not trading up but continuing to trade down. We wound up with a bunch of third stringers and guys who won't even make the 53 man roster. This team needed quality, not quantity, and we didn't get it.
Giving this class a B-.
Would have given them a B for adding Kuntz and a B+ for Kuntz and Herbig. Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? CBS's grades of the Jaguars Day 3 picks:
Ventrell Miller D+ Tyler Lacy C+ Yasir Abdullah C+ Antonio Johnson C+ Parker Washington A Christian Braswell D+ Erick Hallett II C+ Cooper Hodges D+ Raymond Vohasek C- Derek Parish C+ If those are our grades, our hopes of going to community college are gone. Day 2 was a disaster. Day 3 the picks were better than Day 2 but we're talking about lesser players. 1. They just added two players to this team to fit a role they didn't even really have filled properly last year at H-Back or even on the roster which just opened up the running game and gadget plays Doug coveted in Philadelphia. 2. They added three quality slot corners with safety versatility and special teams ability to push Claybrooks and Herndon off the roster completely. 3. They added an inside backer which indicates they are more than likely moving Lloyd outside to rush the passer, or, at least moving him to his natural position he played at Utah to upgrade that spot. 4. They added a potential slot receiver to spell Kirk in a pinch and offer return abilities if Agnew cant hold up physically in Washington. 5. They added a high level swing tackle that fits our scheme perfectly on day one that can plug and play at either spot. 6. They snatched a durable 3tech/5tech rotational piece in Lacy and the leading ACC sack leader that can actually help in coverage to off set losing Smoot and Key this off season. The only slight complaints that can be made. Barely. Is Bigsby at 88, Miller at ILB and a SS being a nickel and overkill in RD6. All of that, again, becomes a moot point if we're now seeing a power running game balancing out our passing attack late down the stretch and Lloyd moves outside and thrives as a weakside or strongside backer. Really hard to knock this class. ![]() Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? The only point I’m trying to make is that just because the Jags draft a guy who our fans don’t follow much because he’s not SEC doesn’t mean it’s a terrible pick, which a few folks on this board seem to think that’s the case. In fact, Penn State - for example - seems to pump out good receivers (WR or TE) almost every year (although they can’t seem to put out a great QB to save their lives). I am by no means a SEC hater - Im a Mizzou fan, after all. I simply understand that NFL teams don’t share that opinion to the degree that we do down here.
