Training Camp Countdown & Who to Watch

Crowd is mild, humid as heck. Ridley looks sharp, just made another contested catch on the sideline.

Thanks for the report. It's great to see Ridley bounce back from a couple of tough days. If he stays healthy, he will make this offense impossible to stop. I expect Kirk and Zay to have great seasons again due to the attention Ridley must command.

Is the live scrimmage tonight?

Kirk and Zay looked smooth as well. Saw Smoot doing non contact drills which is good.

Play of the day occurred in red zone drills. Can't remember who was lined up with Ridley, but he pointed to Campbell and gestured for him to cover him instead. He faked a fade route, cut inside to the back of the endzone and tip toed a TD from Trevor.

I went. Ridley looks like the real deal. So does Trevor. He is still staring down his receivers a bit too much for my liking, but he's throwing them open and just has pinpoint accuracy. I don't recall a throw he had the the defense even had a chance to snag. I hope our starting d isn't just terrible, but he liked really good today.

It was really hot, though. I thought the crowd was relatively enthusiastic when Trevor was in the field. Zay Jones also looked good. Bigsby also had a couple nice cutbacks.

Good to hear the crowd getting into it. I will be attending the Thursday practice next week coming up. Have not been to one in years so I am looking forward to it.

I was there today in row B of section 140. It was a very light crowd today for a Saturday, but some late morning rain forecasts the previous day could have impacted fans' attendance plans. Good news was the rain forecasts got revised to after the practice. The offense ruled today. Guys that stood out to me today....Ridley, Bigsby, Kirk, Austin, QBs collectively (Lawrence, Beatherd, and Rourke), Tight ends collectively (Engram, Farrell, and Prince), Campbell, and Dixon (had a nice would-be sack). It was a bad day for the secondary as a whole (I only saw a couple pass break ups and no interceptions all practice), a bad drop by new TE Pederson, and Snoop Connor lacked any lateral movement/vision in his limited carries and swing pass catch to me. An interesting note was that they had Blake Hance running with the ones at OG often today.

I noticed that when I went on Wednesday too.
I speculated that Scherff was getting some veteran rest time, but I wonder if it's more than that?

If Scherff was in -  and Hance was playing LG then it is because Shatley had heart arrhythmia the other day and is being held out until docs clear him and Bartch is also not cleared by docs for full go yet .

Gerrit Prince is probably going to make the team. Dude has caught touchdown after touchdown.
