If I’ve got to win a game, give me Mahomes, Trevor, Burrow, or Hurts. No one else deserves to be in the top tier.

To be fair to Allen, my guy went toe-toe with Mahomes in the playoffs and had a lead with 12 seconds left, I don't really consider that choking, at least not Allen. That defense definitely choked.

Yeah, I put Allen in the same grain as TLaw, Herbs - young guys with plenty of arm. I was a severe doubter when he got darfted, but the kid put in work and it seems that he's going to be around for a while. Maybe not elite, at least YET. No idea where the Cousins comparison came from, he's always struck me as one of those game manager types, he won't make a lot of dumb or risky throws, but he's also not gonna destroy you with his arm, either.

I nothing Lamar. Unless he can stay healthy and hit some throws on a postseason run, he instills as much fear in me as a guy like Tua, who may be the poster child for overrated QB in today's league.

I think Allen and Lawrence have had a similar growth thus far.. and much like Allen got Diggs going into year 3, Lawrence is getting Ridley. Here's to hoping that he plays at the same level JA did in year 3.

Herbsquirts been pretty insane all 3 of his first seasons, but (of course I do not follow the Bolts closely) it does seem that Herbs struggles in the big games, especially what we saw against us last post-season.

There was another Charger QB with the same flaw - is Herbs the next Dan Fouts? All the regular season stats, wilt in the postseason?

I love these little details within the details. I am really looking forward to Trevor pump faking the [BLEEP] out of secondaries on that route with Ridley though and hitting guys like Zay, Christian and Evan wide open downfield over the top of the safety or straight down the middle. We know it's coming. He was doing that little subtle stuff with his hips and getting low and resetting down the stretch last year. Was fun to see his progression with his mechanics. This guy loves the game.

Just hope like hell the offensive line can buy him that split extra second or half second to make it work more times than not.

What I said is that Allen is a more athletic Cousins. Cousins is a really good qb. But he wilts in the big games. I think Allen does, too. He’s often one and done in the playoffs. I think Josh still can grow and fix it. But to me, he’s not elite right now. But I understand those who are blinded by his rocket arm. Folks are blinded by Lamar’s talent, too. But he can’t stay healthy and he hasn’t won deep in the playoffs.

I think he’ll play well enough for the honor but would be shocked if he actually gets it.

Personally, I'll be happy to see him in the mix of valid candidates, but it's cool to see so many pundits predicting him to win or rank highly among the votes submitted.

Cowerd calls him the most valuable young player in the NFL.. I do not agree with his moving take but spot on about Lawrence.

I don't think Josh Allen and Kirk Cousins are alike in anyway, as a player comp to me Josh Allen is very much like Patrick Mahomes in play style. The difference could be coaching, could be that Mahomes has a mega computer for a brain but I don't really understand why you think he gets bad in the playoffs, dude had one of the craziest playoff performances ever against Mahomes and had the game won with 12 seconds left.. he had nothing to do with that loss. Last year he played rather poorly against the Bengals to close out the season but he's been pretty good in the post season aside from that.

Realisticly speaking, if he dominates and we have 12-13 wins and he outperforms other QBs, i'd bet my [BLEEP] somebody else gets it and the media says "yeah but he had an easy schedule" or something stupid like that.

Wow, what a depressing way to say Trevor is undervalued.  Trevor is undervalued because without him, Jacksonville would lose their team to some city in Europe?  Ouch.

Cowherd's right about Lawrence's value but he repeats a lot of tropes about Jacksonville, most are baseless some are just outdated. He refers to things that happened when the Super Bowl was here. He says we have one decent hotel. He says we have a weak fan base and are basically a college sports town. He says we've always struggled with attendance. He says Trevor is probably the only thing that could prevent the team from relocating to Europe.

Remind me again why anybody pays attention to dingleberries like Cowherd?

Cowherd has been losing it lately.

He made a list of QBs who couldn’t win a Super Bowl this year and named Dwayne Haskins on it….. Who died in April of 2022
