*** Preseason Week 2 - Jags @ DeeTroit ***

This WR group is so deep. I hope they keep 6 and then I'm stashing as many of the others as I can onto the PS.

Here's some interesting trivia: Greg Junior is the first player from Ouachita Baptist University to be drafted into the NFL. But there is already a player from Ouachita Baptist in the Hall of Fame.

He looks more composed than QB2...who looks like he's going through the motions.   I haven't watched a lot of Beathard...but he doesn't look like a competent QB2.   Doesn't move within the pocket well at all.

Brandon Scherff is no longer that dude.   Next season I want him gone.

Rourke > Beathard

Sorry...it's how I feel. Waaayy more upside...and if Trevor were to go down....I'd take Rourke to man the team.

Hell, the 9ers starting QB was the last player taken in the draft.

Ledbetter and Rourke should be part of the 53 man squad. IMO

Yup.  If this were a real game he should have called fair catch and backed away from the ball.

Coaches son definitely won't make the squad. Too deep at TE.

Cowboys Charlie Waters or Cliff Harris.

Baalke is already counting the trade interest on Rourke. Especially later in the season when draft busts and injuries cause teams to start hunting.

But the question is, do you try to get him to the practice squad?  We'd have to waive him first, and I think he would get claimed and we'd lose him.

We have 53 spots on the active roster, and some very difficult cuts to make, so carrying 3 QBs on the active roster is probably not in the plan.

Loaded at RB, loaded at TE, overloaded at WR.

RB and TE are locked in imo.

ETN, Tank, Johnson and Hasty at RB.

Engram, Farrell, Strange and Prince at TE.

Ridley, Kirk, Zay, Agnew and Washington are locks at WR imo. Who gets the 6th spot? Could easily make a case for 3 or 4 guys. WR is easily the deepest group on this roster.

Rourke also looks like he can make off-schedule plays, like when he has to break the pocket and make a pass down field.
