Idalia headed this way

Looks like it might get a little gusty tomorrow.  I recommend stocking up on beer, steaks and charcoal.

Nearly got flattened by a Yankee with 2 buggies full of water jugs last night. Panic spending can't be good for inflation right now.

There’s nothing my wife likes more than getting into the middle of the hurricane panic scrum. I hate it but she wants to go out and stock up on everything. Ugh.

I love the ones filling up 7 gas cans and 3 propane tanks.........................then putting them in the trunk.  If they get hit, it could be like riding in a bomb.

I have a nice used 4500 watt generator I'll take $3500 for. I also have toilet paper, $25 a roll, water bottles at $4 per 16 ounce bottle. Any takers? Oh, I just checked, still have some 4X8 sheets of plywood I will let go at the low price of $200 per sheet.
Looking to troll? Don't bother, we supply our own.

LOL.  I got 10 gallons of gas for the generator yesterday and filled up my truck.  We are already stocked up (as usual) on the necessities (beer, food, toilet paper).  My only concern is my livestock.  Hopefully the barns hold up to the wind (if we get much).

I'm not too concerned about losing power, other than the fact that we have a well but that's why we have a generator.

I am guessing that this is going to be no worse for us than a typical summer thunderstorm.

To me it looks like we won't get much more than a normal thunderstorm, it's projected to pass north of the border right now.

Went to Costco last night with the wife. All the Kirkland water was gone, people were buying the Alkaline water and Fiji. And I’m in West Palm Beach! Nowhere near where this storm is going. Surprised toilet paper wasn’t all gone. Just don’t understand people’s logic sometimes.

Pretty much.  It's going to be (to us) a "typical summer thunderstorm".

I prepared my Generator just in case we lose power.  What is nice is that power is underground from our home to a main line on a county road.  If we lose power, that main line will be restored way quicker than people that have overhead power coming to them.

That's what a grill is for. Ours is undercover so we can grill rain or shine or snow. Unless it's raining sideways.

And no one will suspect it’s a grill.  Ninja

I thought the charcoal made it obvious.  Maybe he was referring to the refrigerator.

That's how it's looking.

And of course I need to go by the store tonight for a few things - but it's going to be a mob scene with all the overly exuberant storm peppers buying a bunch of [BLEEP] they don't need, LOL

I work from home until Friday this week, so it won't change much for me unless I lose internet connection.
