Is WOKV equivalent to WFAN in NY as far as a 24 hr sports station? 

 

WOKV is talk radio, almost all political. Almost no local programming aside from morning traffic/news and Jaguar games/shows.

Yeah i live in kansas and listen online or Tunein app. I personally love 1010xl but I don't listen to Hicken or Prosser. I don't like Bianchi or David Lamb either.

1010 is local sports radio. Wokv is conservative talk radio that would carry the games and official jaguar programs. Moving it to 1010 makes sense if they really do broadcast comparably to what they had.

No longer true.  WOKV is 50,000 Watts Daytime and 25,000 watts nighttime.  WJXL (1010) is 50,000 daytime and 30,000 nighttime.   The move to 1010XL is smart because they need to fill airtime and will do it with Jags coverage.

 

WOKV's FM footprint on 104.5 is significantly larger than what WJXL is pushing day or night. They're pumping out 98,800 watts 24/7 off the FM signal.  You can hear them from Brunswick to Daytona.

I don't know the exact range, but I can still pick up 1010 in Madison County, which is 45 mins outside of Tallahassee. Tallahassee is about 190 miles from Jacksonville.

I assume you're talking the AM station, 92.5FM starts breaking up outside of Whitehouse...

 

As far as TuneIn, most of the time all I hear is Jack O'Brien saying that this is the alternate channel...

How?  92.5 starts to fuzz out on I-10 west before 301....
