You must seriously be involved with Whimper somehow to defend a past, fringe Jag player.

Huh

You honestly think nobody's told him to his face that he sucks?

That would be my guess. Whimper and his family are nice people. One of his sons was in boy scouts last year with my son. But lets be honest. He was awful.

I'm surprised that Guy Whimper keeps getting opportunities.  When forced into action at LG in a game against the Lions last November,   there was a stretch of the game that Nick Fairley was dominating against Whimper play after play.   Whimper looked like the most overmatched Offensive Lineman I saw in any of the 16 Lions games last season.    The only thing that comes to mind that might be the reason why Whimper keeps getting NFL opportunities is he has experience playing every Offensive Line position but Center.   In essence,  he saves a game day roster spot.

Right, "You suck! Now here's 2 million dollars to suck some more for us."

Yes. He sucks mightily. The fact some dumb GM pays him to doesn't change that or prevent fans with two eyes from telling him to his face that he sucks. When he played for us, he either led or came close to leading the league in sacks allowed. He is a liability in run blocking and pass protection. You obviously have a chubby for the guy or a personal connection. If you have his number you can give it to me so I can arrange a phone call or rendezvous so I can tell him 'to his face' that he sucks and should consider his salary the past four years to be a true blessing.

As awful as Whimper is, its not his fault he's getting paid.. He's conning nobody. That's a GM problem..

Whimper got a few more years in the league because of the Whimper Roll-Out.  The Whimper Roll-out was the lone highlight of the Mike Murlarkey era in Jacksonville.

Right, like you are going to Pittsburgh to tell him he sucks to his face when you didn't have the cojones to do it while he was here.

Telling him he sucks to his face was your thing, not mine. Tell you what chotch.. if you have the stones to call the people on this board "pathetic" to their faces, I will find a way to personally tell Guy Whimper that he most assuredly sucks. You're getting bent because I called that move out as being truly weak. Own it bro.

Just because I guy isn't good in the NFL doesn't mean you have to "tell it to his face".  I'm pretty sure he's read an article or two about how awful he is.

And, Pitt re-signing him = desperation + salary cap issues.

No, you just man up and go on message boards and on things like facebook and talk smack about people behind the safety of your computer screen.

Whimper may not be the best football player, but he is a heck of a lot more successful in life than the losers who who seem to find their self esteem by bad mouthing people on the internet. It's the same immature and pathetic mindset that creates cyber bullying.

It wasn't telling him he is no good that I challenged, it was telling him that he "sucks" to his face.Take away the computer and the little superiority complex goes right down the drain.

Guy Whimper is a veteran OL that adds depth to a very weak line in Pittsburgh seems like a smart move to me for only one year he'll compete in preseason.

Will you share some of the pictures you took outside his bedroom window?

Mrs. Whimper, we are all very sorry. Your husband is great.

It seems that every time an O-Lineman gets cut by the Jags and picked up by another team they forget how to give up sacks whenever they play against our defense...

Good for him. He was pretty bad to be honest, but good guy nonetheless, and still a better receiver than Jerry Porter.
