It's the worst possible system, except for every other system that has been tried.

Everyone who is entrusted with power will eventually abuse power.  The unique quality of democracy is it regularly replaces that person with someone new, someone who might have no connection to the previous leader, without violence.  No other system has been able to do this. Yes, the flaw is that those who vie for power must bend over to appeal to the "slow" masses. Still beats nights of long knives or civil war though.
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.

Penny appears to be saying that trans and queer people deserve some special protection against the death penalty regardless of the crimes they may commit.  She (?) Is wrong.  Anyone who sexually abuses children should never be around any children again, regardless of if they are trans or queer.
