If Strange was a stud TE it would of been a good pick, I just don't see how anyone could of had Stange higher on their board than Torrence. It makes you wonder if they watched each in college. I wonder how many teams in the league had Strange higher than Torrence, I'd bet none. Kinda seems like Walker over Hutch pick. Hopefully they got it right and Strange turns into a beast.

Both our tackles have a great season so far.
Our weaknesses are inside the line, and I'm not sure how Cam can solve anything

Notice that we also took Washington from there despite the same collegiate shortcomings. They certainly didn't help their guys out over there in Happy Valley. The Walker pick was getting the choice of any player in the draft and taking the (maybe) second best at his position, that's nothing like a comparison between Strange and Torrance. We also didn't have a long term plan for Engram at the draft (another Baalke failure IMO), so getting a top TE was a need at the time. It also kinda matters that Torrance was taken two picks before Strange, so there's that too. “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato

If we didnt have a long term plan for Engram we wouldnt have gave him the contract we did. They knew they were going to get the deal done with Engram. It also kinda matters that Torrence was there at our pick in the 2nd and we passed him up for Strange. Pen St. moved him around and got creative with him when they used him and Doug seen that on tape and thats who he wanted. They would put him in the back field at times as well but it was a small sample size. Hes versatile and has potential but its just another potential pick like Walker was. I like a guy that was great in college and also has potential, you can find players with both. We need Strange to start putting it together. https://twitter.com/dandgriffis/status/1...emYB7il9zQ

I don't think there is a single NFL fan who thinks the Jags are getting more value out of Strange + Abdullah than they would have gotten out of Torrence. Its not that the players we got are bad, it was just a very bad trade based on the talent available and our needs. But maybe Cam's return will make the whole line better and we won't feel that way anymore in a few weeks. Hope springs eternal.
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.

Apparently la’el collins is rehabbing quite well, would anyone take a gamble on a short contract with him playing as guard? (I know he hasn’t played there since his rookie year, but with the injuries it might be his better option)
I didn't like the draft class at the time and still mostly don't. Torrence was both BAP and a huge need for us and we passed on him. For what? We took a tight end in the second round, a running back in the third round plus used additional drafts picks on a wide receiver and a fullback/tight end. What production have we gotten for these 4 draft pick through 4 games? 33 rushing yards, 7 receiving yards a punt return for 5 yards. They do have 2 rushing touchdowns, but 1 was a gimmee. I won't even mention Bigsby's turnovers or the fact that Strange has committed as many penalties as he has receptions. Was this the best we could do with those picks?
Baalke also took 7 defensive players in the draft. To be fair, there have been a couple of injuries, but the production here is also close to nothing. Our 7 defensive draft picks through week 4 have combined for 2 quarterback hurries and 1 assisted tackle. That's it. Otherwise, they don't appear on the stat sheet and I am including plays on special teams. Again, was this the best that we could do with those picks? We show less advertisements to registered users. This is further compounded with "meh" results from last year's selections between Walker, Lloyd, Muma and Fortner. Not shaking out to be his best work. That's for sure. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I, who was born in a naked land and bred in the open sky. I would put Robinson at LT, Little at LG, and Shatley at center. Batch and Fortner need to ride the bench. Scheriff has been bad too.

I say put Cam in at LG. He is the one who got himself suspended in his last season, and his replacement has been playing lights out. At this point, he needs to do whatever makes him useful, and we need an LG. Walker Little has been one of the best LT's in the league, so why mess with that?

We could sure use some quality depth, at the very least. ![]() We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Cam is being cut after the season. He isn't going to play G because he knows he has to get another deal. He is going to be selfish and lookout for himself. Little hasn't made it yet and will want a big deal in the future. Doing this won't hurt his value. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk

How did Robinson play today? Was he hurt? Was Little also hurt?
