Hell nah trade blackmon for Jackson you must be on the good stuff. Blackmon with his stuff together is like ten times a desean Jackson. You ride the talent that is blackmon until he's gone completely. Gotta think we would have better luck with an immense talent like his than screwing up once more and being gone permanently. Think Jared Allen.

If it weren't for his contract, I think Philly could get someone to bite on a 3rd trade for Jackson. Would a team trade a 3rd for Blackmon? I would rather stick with what we have, and add WR help through the draft. If Blacmon can turn his life around, he would be worth way more than a 3rd for us, and he should continue to be low budget. Given his history there wont be any team throwing a huge contract at him with millions guaranteed.

There's no moves to be made with Blackmon.

 

The only smart thing would be to keep Blackmon on the roster.

 

If he continues down this path, he will never play in the NFL again.  A wasted 5th pick overall, but oh well.

 

If he DOES make a comeback and turns his life around, it will be for us.  

 

The absolute worst case scenario would be for us to cut him, a contender picks him up,  which in turn shifts the balance of power in the conference.

 

I can just picture the Jags cutting Blackmon and the Patriots pick him up.... imagine that.

I'd give up Blackmon in a heartbeat for Jackson. And not even think twice about it. Jackson is only 27 years old, with plenty of speed and gas left in the tank, and he's coming off of his best single season performance of his career. He's a big play waiting to happen on virtually any down. That's not to say that Blackmon can't be that same guy, but that's the key word there, "be". Will he be here? Will he be able to behave himself? I don't have to worry about that with Jackson.
