The 2 big 70yd and 60yd touchdowns tua threw to hill today
Imagine that but with ridley for Trevor.....of course that draws on our oline actually giving him enough time to throw
We control our destiny. Win out and we get home field.
Surprised the line in this Bengals game is 10 points. That's a lot. Obviously we aren't a perfect team but one thing that hurts us in an inability to bury teams. We seem to lack that extra gear. Would be great to finally discover it tonight. ________________________________________________ Scouting well is all that matters. Draft philosophy is all fluff.

At least that's the way I interpret it

Correct, after that it starts looking at schedule strength metrics then performance metrics; win out and we're #1. all the presure tonight is on the jags for sure now. Jags need to keep winning.

If both teams win out Dolphins and Jags would tie on conference games but jags would come out ahead on common games. Head-to-head, if applicable. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games, minimum of four. Strength of victory in all games. Strength of schedule in all games. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed in all games. Either way, win out (beating Baltimore in the process) and we'd have a one game lead anyway

Previously they used division record for each tied team against their own divisions. I guess they removed that step at some point. “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato

Ah I see it now down towards the bottom, I missed that part. Thanks for clarifying it up. As it stands now, our WC round game would be against Indy lol

You read the "within the same division rules" for determining division winner via tie breakers. The rules for seeding for number 1 seed or otherwise once division winners have been determined are the same as the "wildcard tie breaking rules". Scroll down the page a bit. Conference record matters. Division record is part of the conference record, but otherwise doesn't matter on its own. https://www.nfl.com/standings/tie-breaking-procedures Item 3 under "Other tie-breaking procedures" near the bottom specifically says to use wildcard tie breakers for seeding division winners. EDIT: Ah I see I'm late to the party in further explanations. Disregard. (12-04-2023, 09:03 AM)snowwolf776 Wrote: all the presure tonight is on the jags for sure now. Jags need to keep winning. Correct. Even with CLE and PIT losing I don't think the bungles aspire for postseason play at this point. In the eyes of everyone around the league, this is a game we should win handily. If we do not, the dismissive attitude toward DUVAL as a contender will persist.
We'll be up 24 - 3 at the half.

The Jaguars ahave the hardest strength of schedule in the entire league so far. And after tonight we will be the #1 seed in the afc. Jags are for real baby

Every week was a win or be eliminated scenario. This year is a different pressure, but its not like last year. Crazy to think that we were 4-8 at this point last year.
