That’s [BLEEP] crazy. Trevor is as tough as they come. I was convinced last night it was a season ender or at best available for the playoffs. Never imagined even a possibility he could play next week. Though I do think he should probably wait till the SNF game and give it a little more time

He might be too tough for his own good. He’ll say he’s ready but coaches and trainers need to step up and tell him no if he isn’t.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

The league and NBC are going to want him playing in 2 weeks if he's remotely able. I'm not sure if he'll be ready to go this weekend, but I have a strong feeling with his internal drive to get healthy enough to go and the league/NBC wanting that top tier QB match up to happen that it's going to happen for SNF.

I don’t even want him to play against the browns.

Let’s rebound and redeem ourselves on SNF

Well if theres anything i'm certain of with Trevor, he's a tough competitive kid. I hope he heals up quickly.

Which is hilarious because some people questioned if he loved football in the pre draft process.

He’s just playing hard to land a big fat Head and Shoulders endorsement contract.

Yeah. What a [BLEEP] joke. The guy only won game after game after game since becoming a QB at any level within the sport, which he's doing now at the highest level, but, yeah, he doesn't care.

Imagine thinking guys like Zach [BLEEP] Wilson and Justin Fields were better than him. Or even Mac Jones at one point. That entire QB class, with the exception of Lawrence now, what a total [BLEEP] show.

Lawrence is well on his way to the upper echelon of the NFL while these other three guys are done already. More than likely all three of those guys will be on somebody else's roster next year as a back-up or competing for a starting opportunity again.

I appreciate his toughness. This is three times now within about one year worth of football games that he's ate an injury, toughed it out and shown that he's willing to do anything and everything possible to be out there for this team and fanbase. How anybody can hate on this kid is beyond me.

He's a generational talent in my book. Because he WINS. He's a winner. With that said? I want him to sit out the next two weeks. His mobility is paramount to his overall ability. Him running around out there or standing on that ankle is bad news for the long run against these next two defenses in my opinion. Ratings be damned.

Exact same conversation as when he hurt his knee and then came back to win his next three games.

You don't sit him for future games.  If he's medically cleared and Pederson thinks he looks OK he'll play.  Plain and simple.

Franchise QB. Proceed to close this threat.

Also, on a funny note, there are people out there who seriously believed he faked his injury.

The thread has been the de facto TL discussion thread for many months now. The original (franchise) topic has long been left in the dust, but we didn't need 13 different TL threads popping up each week, so ... here we are.

I've altered the title to make this clear.

A cameraman on the grassy knoll captured video of him limping on one foot before a “person from the sideline” ran onto the field to whisper something in his ear. Then he started limping on the other foot.

Two words: NFL script.

Oh, and the Cubans. It all makes sense if you really think about it.

this will linger the rest of the year
Going to be interesting how he adjusts his platform to be able to generate throw power while in the early stages of healing.
Watching Mahomes last year, he used his left leg, hips, and upper body masterfully to generate power. There were times where he didnt even have his right foot anchored on the ground and was still lasering balls.

He will probably be in shotgun even more now.

It's pretty clear that Lawrence is not happy with Press Tayolor's play calling...

Lawrence is willing this team to wins in spite of such terrible OC management.

The TD throw to Parker was amazing.  But that entire drive was full of Lawrence upset and showing it.  Go back and look at that drive.  Lawrence was not happy with the play calls and the execution.  But he threw a dime and Parker caught it.

We have a great QB, we have a terrible OC and a terrible O-Line.

I saw Lawrence get frustrated, but it appeared to be after a delay immediately following a false start. There's a problem with shooting yourself in the foot, whether that be subbing in players, getting calls from the sideline, or making boneheaded mistakes that negate potential big plays.

I think you are trying too hard to link these things together. If Trevor don't like the play calls I guarantee that he, Doug, and Press talk this through every darn week they review film and plan games. Do you really see TLaw as the passive type? Or Doug to be one to stifle his feedback? Come on.

I.....wut?

I mean I understand the tinfoil hat crowd are capable of some extreme leaps in logic, but that right there is a new one, for sure.

We've seen on many occasions that Trevor can sling it with just his arm talent while off base, on the run, left foot, etc. I'm not too worried about that. My main concern is his mobility and escapability (sp?)

That's the baseball mechanics and reflex kicking in there for Mahomes. People underrate that aspect to his game. His dad being a professional baseball player really taught him some things that work well with football as far as arm management, shoulder rotations, fluid motion, etc.

Mahomes has one of the best arms I have ever seen on a football field. Not just the power aspect to his arm. That's there. It's his ability to improvise, flick the wrist, spin the ball and get it out fast enough in uncanny ways that makes him special in my opinion.

We're lucky Hill plays in Miami now. Otherwise? Good chance the Chiefs are probably undefeated right now and clearly above everybody else in the AFC.

Lawrence has similar traits though. For example, that dropped ball on the ground and just lofting it up there the other night? Ridley has to make that catch in my opinion. Not many QB's can do what he did there. That was awesome. We can be on [BLEEP] par with the Chiefs and Mahomes man with Lawrence. As soon as next year in my opinion if they can upgrade the Center and Left Guard positions.

Same concerns. If that part of his game is hindered, he's in trouble behind this offensive line. His ability to move and throw on the run is up there with the best of them. Of course he can make the throws from the pocket, but, again, the ability to run, create, extend, move the pocket, etc.

That's a big part of his game.
