There is so much depth in this draft I think you can find solid starters into the 4th at the very least

An extra second gives 6 picks in the top 4 rounds and an extra second next year that's incredible

with the 6 picks this year you could fill alot of our needs

2nd Xavier sau filo guard starting right guard with great strength and a solid first punch solid in pass pro and the run game

2nd Kareem Martin de poor mans Clowney big physical player with a high motor has the speed to bend the edge and the power to bull rush lacks explosiveness of Clowney and needs developing but could be an ideal Leo learning from Clemons

3rd Travis Swanson centre brilliant pass protector but lacks upper body strength to provide push in the run game gets initial punch and the holds him there with solid leg strength doesn't drive his man technically sound but would benefit from an NFL conditioning program

4th Daniel MC cullers dt big run stuffer to go with miller as part of the 4 man st rotation

4th marqueston huff free safety long rangy with elite speed would share snaps with Evans and guy with guy eventually moving to be cyps back up at strong safety

That leaves us with needs at QB tight end corner wide receiver with a pick in the first and depth at wide receiver and corner in the draft so personally I would take the trade and still be happy with whoever fell to me

Well there are a million ways the draft can go. My argument isn't that the Jags should take Bridgewater (I think they should), but that the possibility itself exists. It was in response to someone claiming there was NO WAY they take Bridgewater.

in all honesty the post wasn't really aimed at you

your post just seemed like the most convenient segway into the conversation so apologies

all i was really trying to say is that if we were to trade down it doesn't necessarily mean he doesn't like bridgewater

i can see your point that a franchise guy is worth so much that if bridgewater is his guy he would take him at 3

but i think that trade is too much to turn down especially with talented qbs in the later rounds.

With that trade we could potentially inject so much talent into our team i think caldwell would take it regardless of who fell to him

Lol. It's pretty obvious to anybody and his mother that Jadaveon Clowney, Khalil Mack, and Sammy Watkins are elite talent. Teddy is not elite talent.

If Watkins is say a 7.1 and Teddy is a 7.0 It would be foolish to pick Watkins. If a QB is graded high enough to be a franchise type guy you take him even if there are other dominant talents at other positions. This is assuming of course the grades are similar. If Teddy is only a 5.5 then obviously pick Watkins instead.

Pretty much spot on.

Some people find this hard to understand.

Actually some people take it even one step further and claim to know the player's relative grades (lol). I know I don't, and I won't pretend like I do.

If Teddy is perceived as a franchise QB, he will be the pick at #3, simple as that.

Now I don't think he will be perceived as the franchise QB, but that's beside the point.

None of us know anything about how the NFL views prospects and those who pretend to do are foolish.

A director of college scouting compared Birdgewater to Leftwhich today saying they were both "soft". This is an absurd statement but it goes to show there are a wide variety of opinions in NFL offices.
