That's going to be a tough decision for the team, especially since Zay Jones seems to be injury-prone. Since I doubt he's going to accept a team-friendly discount deal from the Jaguars, I'd have to let him go. Not worth the money plus a 2nd round draft pick.

He shouldn’t have bobbled the ball in the first place. Hit him square in the chest.

His route running was good last night though.

That ball was tipped by the defender and changed the rotation of the ball, which is what caused the bobble. He catches that cleanly if the defender doesn't tip it imo.

Average separation between the receivers and their coverage in front of them or ahead of them. This was against the Ravens last night. The league average is roughly 3 yards, sitting right at 2.95. This group is well behind that mark. With the exception of Agnew's long catch for a TD thanks to blown coverage?

Lawrence wasn't getting much help from these guys and that puts him a tough spot of having to literally be on the money with every single throw of his. There's no room for error. Every window is tight. Every pass has to be precise. This guy has to throw darts and damn near has to hit a bullseye. 

That's with the offensive line giving up close to 20 pressures in that game and with no running game. We're literally telling Lawrence in some of these games right before kick-off "Hey, here's a can of lunch meat, now go out there and make magic out of it". We're failing this kid so badly this year. 

Sometimes I am ashamed to call myself a fan of such a bush league franchise. We were handed a great gift, and we're doing everything we can to return to sender. I am hoping like hell that year four for Trevor is the year things turn around and stays steady moving forward. They just have to get this [BLEEP] cleaned up and it has to happen all within the span of three to four months starting in March - July of next year.

The receivers have had solid separation in lots of games - but have been locked up pretty effectively by the better secondaries they've faced.

Thus far the avg separation for our guys listed at next gen stats is:

Ridley 2.3 yards
Zay Jones 2.4 yards

(before you stick your foot in your mouth bashing these numbers - let me tell you other receivers at 2.3/2.4 - Metcalf, Higgins, Pitts, Pickens, Hopkins, A Cooper, Mike Evans)

Moving on:
Christian Kirk - 3.1 yards
Evan Engram - 3.5 yards


These are the only 4 with enough action to be listed among the NFL leaders on that site.

Separation is not a glaring issue on the whole for our corps, but they have been locked up on occasion this year.

This is the right answer.  I've been looking at a lot of our OL stats and holy god is it bad.  

I think Ridley is worth extending.  If we can get the OL in the right spot, our offense will be what it was supposed to.
