Jaguars @ Titans talk, win and we’re in

Anybody heard anything about Swagnew. After he made that 48 yard catch, he was ruled out.

Last year vs the Titans he was clutch with 177 all purpose yards. I’d rather overestimate the Titans than underestimating them. They’ve drowned me too many times through the years and Derrick Henry has ran wild too many times.

Need Agnew to help us punch that ticket to the postseason.

Broke something and is out for season…. Unlike Kirk who has a chance to come back when some people thought he was done.

Yesterday, there was no motivation as they were eliminated from the playoffs.  Vrabel knew that.  This week will be different to him and the team as long as it is close. They all remember last year.

The only motivation those guys have now is to not get hurt before vacation.

Reported broken bone in lower leg.  Hope its a fibula (outer non-weight bearing bone) not tibia.  They usually had to rod a broken tibia, a tough procedure.

Dang. I hope the best for him. That was such a marvelous catch, too.

Awe damn about Agnew. He’s a game changer. His fumbles though have come at really bad times. Wish him a great recovery.

This is the theme of the week. Focus on our game, win and watch the Clots and Tinhorns beat the hell out of each other and to do it against the T*tans too, AGAIN! Oh hell yeah!

I expect them to come out wanting to spoil our season, we've done it to division rivals before, but it's a great chance to get a tough W and get ready for playoff foot all AGAIN!

Let's go Jags, great time to be a Jags fan eh?

Oh lol.

A superbowl is my dream in terms of this team, who the QB is during that time I couldn't care less lol. However Dougs resume might be HOF worthy if he took two different teams to and won 2 SBs with backup QBs.

I added the lol because it would both be impressive for Doug and also add a ton of "the nfl is scripted" nonsense throughout the entire fandom.

Broke my tibia playing football and got a cast up to my thigh at a 45 degree bent knee for 6 weeks. I thought it was the other way around with the fibula being the bone you don’t wanna break.

That is encouraging, Kirk is pivotal to this offense.

Great news that captain Kirk is ready to beam up

If he really comes back from that injury next week it will be in record time. Those core injuries that require surgery usually take at least 8 weeks to heal. Freddie T. had something similar and it knocked him out from Week 3 to the next season. I just don't think Kirk can be ready to go next week, but man, if he does I hope he's careful with it.

If we can't beat the [BLEEP] and trannyhill we do not deserve to go to the playoffs.

Yeah - That injury and early return date don't sound right to me either.

I'd think if they were gonna risk him reinjuring it - they'd wait until a potential playoff game.

Sold joints and IM rods for 4 years.   Usual treatment of broken tibia is titanium rod and screw fixation on each end.  Fx fibula can be set or plated.  Its too small for a rod.
Be interested in hearing where you were (rural/city) when you broke your tibia.  Cast & immobilization isn't done often.
Agnew will be fine by camp next year.

Thing is, this week is a playoff game because if they lose they are likely out. Every game is now sudden death, so if Kirk can go then he just might.

Another name for a core injury is an abdominal hernia.  These require a mesh (biologic or synthetic) patch and time to heal.   A couple months before exertion/contact.
Sold biologic meshes for 20 years used in breast recon, hernia, and staple line reinforcement.   I sound like such a douche.  Just retired from medical device leadership after 40 years in scrubs.  Logged my cases, was in just over 10,000 surgical procedures.

Q: You know what they call the guy who graduated last in his medical school class?

A: Doctor

Yes - I recall many years ago the term "sports hernia" being used for this injury.

Congrats on the retirement!

True - but level of competition this week compared to the probable game after that one is a big gap.
Hence my speculation.

If they feel they need Kirk's contribution to beat the wallowing tacks, so be it. I'm just hesitant on that personally.

Lol. In the military the joke was the same except the answer was Sir or Ma'am. As in they couldn't get employed in the real world so they went in the military as an officer. And we never called them doctor, it was always Sir or Ma'am or whatever their rank was, example, Captain Smith.
