I know Teddy's fans will point out his stuff (which is solid), but since I am more of a Johnny guy (at least with my heart anyway)

 

Here is some interesting stuff from his write up:

 

"When Manziel threw from the pocket, he complete 73.6% of his passes for 3,429 yards, 9.95 ypa and 27 TDs."

 

"NFL QBs must be accurate on the short to intermediate throws, and Manziel was just that.  I went back and researched his throws from 6 - 15 yards and Manziel completed 65.7% of those passes including 66% on his intermediate sideline throws. "

 

"Of Manziel’s 37 TD passes this year, only 10 came from behind the line of scrimmage to five yards down the field - the classic dump and dash that we see in college.  According to the STATS Ice data, Manziel had 27 TDs passes beyond 6 yards including 12 that were for 16+ yards."

 

"His ability to extend plays with his legs while keeping his eyes down the field is reminiscent of Ben Roethlisberger while his ability to hurt defenses with his running (not just extend drives) reminds me of a more explosive Russell Wilson or even a young Michael Vick without they “pull-away” finishing speed."

Gil Brant, NFL Media senior analyst just put Manziel as his number one prospect today

 

NFL.com's Gil Brandt names Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel as his top prospect in this years draft.

"In process of updating my top 50 prospects list. Top 5 as it stands today: 1 Manziel, 2 Robinson, 3 Matthews, 4 Clowney, 5 Barr," Brandt Tweeted.

 

I will be at Manziel's workout Thursday and feel that people will be surprised at how well he passes that day, both in terms of accuracy and also when they see his arm strength.

Manziel is going to be an outstanding NFL player for many years, for three reasons: He's one of the great competitors of all time out of college; he's an exceptional athlete; and he has the ability to bring your team from behind and win games when you're hopelessly out, like he did against Duke in this year's Chick-fil-A Bowl.

I know you don't think we'll be getting a QB in the first, but I still really do. Along with the Browns, I don't think any team over the last 3 years or so has needed a steady, good, and franchise QB that can actually be the face of our team, more than us. 

 

Anyhoo,

I personaly don't think Manziel, even in the worst-case scenario tumbles any lower than 4. Either Texans, JAgs, or Browns take him.

I don't think Bridgewater, even in the worst-case scenario for him, tumbles any lower 8. Either Jags, Raiders, or Vikings scoop him up.

In fact the only one I see dropping out of the first is Bottles, he could either go number-1 to the Texans, or he's a total second rounder IMO.

I lost it on my timeline but Teddy was #3 in pass yards travled in air behind a couple late round prospects. I dont see how the "captain checkdown" accusations are valid based off the cutups Ive watched + those stats. He isnt the best at throwing the deep ball but is very accurate in all throws under 20 yards, which are like 90% of NFL throws.

Not only do the stats support that but Lance the Vance lack of knowledge of UL's offense shows on top of it

 

Bridgewater is "take what the D gives" qb, so is Manning,Brady and all top level qbs
