Depends, how good is he at stopping the run?

Regardless of how I'm feeling about Trevor right now, that wouldn't have changed the outcome of this game.

Better without gifted possesions by the league leader in turnovers 3 years running.

No they would of still lost.

Almost 200 rushing yards given up and 28 points to the tacks.
Trevor has to cut down his turnovers no crap
If you all truly think he is not the guy then they need to fire everyone and trade him and completely rebuild.
Big decisions this off season for one of the worst owners in football imo
No Fun

Would they had won had Trevor been healthy?

The outcome could have been changed if they attacked the middle of the field. Trevor has refused to do that this year. CJ takes the quick, easy passes and the middle was open. Would it be enough to score TDs? Don't know but I think the team definitely scores more and hopefully energies the defense by giving them some rest in the 1st half.

I think yes because Lawrence was again off. He was hit and miss. He wasn’t as bad as Bortles, but that’s not saying much.

Nope, wouldn't have changed a thing.

The fact remains that this is very much a team game and they lost as a team.

The 1999 Jags are by far the very best the franchise has fielded, but they too failed to win when it was all on the line.

Next up, the draft and the coming season, let the hole plugging begin again.

Good luck.

When you lose by 1 score but one guy gives up 2 turnovers...

well it's easy to put the majority of the blame on that guy.

Maybe - but it doesn't alter the way this season has exposed multiple weaknesses around the roster. We'd just be in this same situation a week or two later with the consolation prize of an AFCS banner.

The Jags brass and staff have much to analyze and many decisions to make. That would have happened much the same had the team scraped into the playoffs with a backup QB. Just delayed.

Wrong again. Per usual.

In CJ's one start, he essentially only threw the ball to the right. Almost every single throw.

How on earth was that 1st interception on Trevor?

It's fine to not credit him with the first int, but are we assuming beat hard would have made the exact same pass? And has it not been discussed ad nausium that Trevor tends to beam short passes which leads to drops?

Regardless of how it happened, it still happened. And the 2nd pick was one of the worst he's ever thrown.

Does it matter? I agree with NYC4jags in that this season uncovered flaws that need to be fixed. How much faith I have in the current regime to fix them is a whole other topic of discussion.

We win if we had a competent O-line all year instead of the turnstiles we've got right now. t

But no, Beathard would not have won us that game. We were not playing the Carolina Panthers.
I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

Doubt it, the whole team was awful.

Maybe. But based on the defensive performance, I’d say it’s unlikely. At best, Beathard possibly may have avoided costly turnovers but we’ll never know. Multiple reasons for this loss and very little to take away as positive.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.
