Early Mock Draft - 2024

I just don't know that we want or need a 10-pick darft, it'd be hard to find spots for that many rooks. This is exactly how the draft should have went last year. Get the big guys early, take the luxury/developmental guys later with all of those day 3 picks. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? As thought he dropped weight for the Combine. He was 186 at weigh in last Fall Camp. Should be back up there soon and then 190 by 2nd year should be attainable

After today...
1st ... Kool Aid 2nd ... Keon Coleman 3rd... Cooper Beebe If not those exact players... 1st ... corner 2nd... WR 3rd... OG I wouldn't care after those 3 players.

Brandon Scherff is no longer that dude. Next season I want him gone.
If the draft fell like this I would love this pick. Would love Fuaga as well but i don't think we go oline in the 1st

This is my post-free agency mock assuming no other major moves are made prior to the draft.
Rd. 1 (17): Quinyon Mitchell. (My favorite cornerback in this draft) Rd. 2 (48) T'Vondre Sweat ( a little risky due to weight, but will command 2 blockers allowing Armstead to thrive) Rd. 3 (77) Xavier Legette. (traded up to get him. Needs to work on route running and occasional drops, but his rare size-speed combination is undeniable; a potential future #1 receiver) Rd. 3 (96) Christian Haynes (shocked he was still available here. Will replace Scherff after this season as starter and will be valuable depth at guard/center this season) Rd. 5 (142) Mason McCormick (developmental player on offensive line who likely will be a guard. Good small-school prospect) As with all mock drafts, some of these players are unlikely to be available (especially Legette and Haynes) where they were selected here. The failure of this draft was the inability to find another Edge rusher to help Allen and Walker. I refuse to reach for any player due to need; this never turns out well. Hopefully they can find another viable pass rusher who gets cut during the pre-season or sign an inexpensive one year player like Bud Dupree who might have one good year left). This draft was kind of like the opposite of Baalke's terrible 2023 draft in which he went for quantity rather than quality. All 5 of my players will not only make the team, but are also of making big contributions this season with the exception of McCormick who will need some time to develop. Love the last two picks especially. Been looking at McCormick more and more. I have also been looking at the Janke twins that played receiver up there. Would be a good story if they both end up in the NFL and make a team. Good day three options or guys worth bringing in after the draft ends. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? Traded with the Rams here, swapped 17 and 96 for 19 and 52:
19th - Adonai Mitchell - WR - Texas 48th - Ruke Orhorhoro - DT - Clemson 52nd - Cooper Bebee - G - Kansas St. 114th - Kalen King - CB - Penn St. 116th - Khyree Jackson - CB - Oregon 153rd - Javon Foster - OT - Missouri 212th - Cornelius Johnson - WR - Michigan 236th - Tip Reiman - TE - Illinois ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? Another one, no trades, went more WR depth this time with GREAT value in my opinion.
17th - Quinyon Mitchell - CB - Toldeo 48th - Troy Franklin - WR - Oregon 96th - Maason Smith - DT - LSU 114th - Malik Washington - WR - Virginia 116th - Brandon Coleman - G/T - TCU 153rd - Tahj Washington - WR - USC 212th - Nehemiah Prtichett - CB - Auburn 236th - Nelson Ceasar - EDGE - Houston ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? Favorite one so far, again, no trades, some real head turners with players dropping as far as they did, unlikely it happens in real life, but, I can dream:
17th - Joe Alt - T - Notre Dame 48th - T'Vondre Sweat - NT - Texas 96th - Josh Newton - CB - TCU 114th - Brandon Coleman - G/T - TCU 116th - Javon Baker - WR - UCF 153rd - Theo Johnson - TE - Penn St. 212th - Myles Coles - EDGE - Texas Tech 236th - Ainian Smith - WR/KR/PR - Texas A&M ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? This is the first time I've seen Alt drop that far, but he'd be a major steal. Sweat is my favorite nose tackle and picks 3-7 all have a good chance to not only make the team but contribute early.
