The Pro Day: what purpose does it really serve?

Quote:Before Teddy pro day : Its just another piece to the puzzle for GM's to evaluate playershttp://jungle.jaguars.com/index.php?/top.../?p=161236 Please note the date and time of my post. But I will pose the same point to you I raised earlier. Which should hold more weight in making a player determination: Bridgewater's 39 college games or his 90 minute pro day? Manziel's 26 college games or his 90 minute pro day? Please explain your answer. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

Quote:And why did he stink at it? The same reason Tom Brady stunk last time he had a bad practice, he's human. Quote:Just to be different, Bortles.
So I'm getting a better feel for what teams look for in the Pro Day. I think that this is because I was assuming that the Organization's reps would pop into town on the morning of the show, watch a little underwear practice, then bug out. Turns out, that's not the case.
I know that Bradley, Caldwell, and the rest of the gang spent the evening before the workout interviewing B. Bortles. They talked football with him and tried to "figure out how he prepared." This last bit was a little enlightening to me and it makes a lot of sense. The teams know that there are expectations on the player, now they get to see not only how they perform under the weight of those expectations, but what do they do to prepare themselves for 'the test.' Again, it's a tiny piece of the picture, but I think it's a key piece as well.
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.
Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say! Quote:Before Teddy pro day : Its just another piece to the puzzle for GM's to evaluate playersYou're just making things up in an attempt to win an argument you already lost. Foolish.
