Ok I have thought about this for awhile now and I've decided its Manziel for me so check me off for "potentially" special. I think this kid has "IT". I remember watching the first time I saw him against the Gators and I was like, woah where did this guy come from. He left a lasting impression on me from just that game and that is when the Gators had a very good defense.
I was on the Bridgewater bandwagon but have changed my opinion. I still would not mind the "bridge", but I think Manziel will give us that potential superstar shot. If he fails I don't think this one pick will set us back that much if he busts. It happens all the time and IMO you have to give it a shot because hopefully we don't draft at three all the time and we will be left with pretty much "safe" picks then anyway. Look at the Derrick Harvey bust and what we gave up. This is just one pick and we picked "safe" last year. I just think it is time for the jags to "sack" up and go for it. Btw his pro day was impressive IMO for what it is worth. Give me the special and "IT" factor it has been way too long for us at the QB position. The guys got heart and I think he has enough drive and desire to be successful that it will hapen. I don't think he lets himself fail. We show less advertisements to registered users. Always take the special player. We passed on Pierre-Paul for Tyson and a punter for Russel Wilson. Any player with special traits in any round you take them. Technique can be taught but talent cannot and a motor cannot.

I want 3 players. Clowney, Bridgewater, Manziel. Jaguars have the number 3 pick. Just give me one of those 3 at 3, and I'm happy.

Quote:Then why is Teddy your profile picture? To me Teddy is a special player. His command of the offense is rival to Luck's. He has ridiculous pocket awareness. Those are traits that can not be taught as we've just seen with Gabbert. And I put this pick up a while ago. Depending how the draft fell I would take Clowney over Bridge I just believe in Teddy that's all. But thats assuming Clowney is there at 3 which I think is highly doubtful Johnny can perform the basic abilities I reading defenses and allowing plays to develop. Now if he's available in the second or third round I'm all for it but not at 3. He's not that special. He's not the only college player to run around and make an amazing play e.g Vince Young We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! "You do your own thing in your own time. You should be proud."
It terms of pure physical ability, Clowney is, by far, the most special player in the draft. If he gets his head on straight and comes to play every week, he'll quickly become one of the most formidable players in the NFL. Definitely worthy of the #1 pick.
Matthews is probably the safest player in the draft and a top 5 talent. Manziel is a roll of the dice. Huge gamble at #3, OK risk in the second round.
When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.
