Didnt read the whole thread. But, "I hope not"????? Because the man tried to get his $$$? Hes the a top 5 Jaguar in history so FOH hes going in and will deserve it. 80 TDs will be a record that wont be broken any time in the next decade.
Ban worthy to have such a stupid opinion IMO.

Quote:Jurkovic should be nextSupposedly Lageman's next in line, followed immediately thereafter by Tim Tebow. Quote:exactly.. the man earned it.. 80 TD's, 13,000 all purpose yards is no easy feat. The thing about a ring of honor is that if you start opening it up to guys like MJD, it loses its prestige. Brunell arguably shouldn't have gone in, but let's be real. He was the face of the franchise when we were making deep playoff runs in the late '90s. He was the first real identity of this team. His induction was something like Jim Zorn's being inducted into the Seahawks ROH, imo. It's not that he was spectacular, it's that he was unquestionably the man during a key time in franchise history. I hope Mojo goes on to have a few good years in Oakland, and I don't fault the guy one bit. Pro football's about the money, and if the team you play for now won't fork it over, find someone who will. I just don't think that his career in Jacksonville merits induction into the Pride. He was a very good running back for several years, most of which were on teams ranging from mediocre to awful. I think he deserves to be honoured by the Jags for his contribution on the field. What form that takes, is up to the organisation.
Mojo in the pride seems like a bit of a a line ball at this point, but if I had to guess, I'd say they wait a while then eventually put him in. I don't think it should be rushed. And of course, if he hangs out in Cali talking yang about the organisation, it's not going to happen! Be gracious, dude. ![]()

I agree with those that said if Brunell is in, you gotta put MJD in.
I would need a few years perspective on MJD if I were looking at him just on his own merit.
Time goes by ..I think he should be in .. He put up some nice numbers, played with a lot of Heart & performed Big for some very Lean Jaguar Rosters !!!
Cali got the Oranges ..Jacksonville got the Drew !!
Meh,, idk.
Mojo is about the same as Corey Dillon in my eyes. - Mojo was the face of the franchise for a few down years in Jax. Dillon was the face of the Bungles for a few down years in Cincy. - Mojo was one of the top RB in the league for a short time. Dillon was one of the top RB in the league for a short time. - Jax started to rebuild younger as Mojo declined (injuries/mileage) Cincy started to rebuild younger as Dillon declined (injuries/mileage) - IMO , neither were ROH players, and certainly not HOF players. Quote:So we are saying the next RB to be inducted into the ROH has to have 14,000+ yards (rushing and receiving)...plus exceed 93 total TDs? Man I guess we are never inducting another RB into the ROH.Who said that on here?

Best player hands down imo. Only one that comes close is Boselli in terms of play. Those two are neck and neck.

Quote:If Brunell got in, I think MJD gets in.Great point, Maurice Jones-Drew was widely considered one of the best running backs in the NFL for more than a couple years even obtaining the best rushing total one year. He is a pro-bowl player and that is why even after the injuries and age the Raiders took a chance on him by signing him for 3 years. If you look at Brunell's career he kind of did nothing in Washington after leaving the Jaguars, and I would argue that MJD was a far better athlete than Brunell. When the time comes, I would expect to see MJD get strong consideration for being inducted into the Pride of the Jaguars. He's earned that at the very least.
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:I agree with those that said if Brunell is in, you gotta put MJD in. Oh, the 2 wrongs make a right philosophy... No, Brunell making it was a mistake. Don't compound the mistake by then setting precedent of lower standards.
Just curious what was his all purpose yards and TDs. Wouldn't that count for anything?

Quote:Brunell got in. He'll get in too. Which is interesting because didn't Garrard churn out better stats? /slowly creaps out the back.

Brunell had better stats but he shouldn't be in there either in my opinion. The ROH should be for a very select few. If you start putting all the really good players in it, it will lose it's meaning quickly. Boselli is rightfully there and should be in the HOF too, only his injury shortened career may keep him out. Also he has a place in Jag history as the first player drafted. Fred should be there, he may only be a borderline HOfer, but he's the best player in franchise history. MJD and Brunell were really good and even great for short stretches of their careers but neither hold the same place in Jag's history in my opinion.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

Brunell was the face of the team during the Golden era between 96-99...it was more for nostalgia than anything. Garrard's numbers won't mask only one playoff win.
