More evidence that they keep shifting the polls until they get to 2-3% Kamala.

I'm starting to wonder if they are going to use these polls for a reason. The uptick in democrats saying there won't be a peaceful transfer of power, they always broadcast their plans by saying their opponent does it, makes me think they have no plans of leaving office. I don't see how they can cheat enough with the economy as bad as it is. They will claim Trump cheated, point to the polls, and refuse to leave.

Biden isn't running this time.  They all plan to leave office.
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.

The country will never recover if they refuse to leave.  I don't think we are at a point in history where this happens yet, but I hope we are. I want to see them try.

Ummm, yeah, they might not want to try that. It would not go over well at all. I mean, reeeaaallly not go over well.
Step 1 will be Trump taken into custody on Sept 18th. He will appeal but they don't have to allow release.

If that happens, I won't be shocked if there isn't an election, they refuse to leave, etc.

I think they intend to take the polling temperature  around mid September and determine if postponing the sentencing will benefit Harris. We are dealing with corrupt people here.

Another poll where they over sampled democrats and under sampled republicans and independents. Republicans have closed the overall % and its only +200,000 dems now. Independents are also favoring Trump at growing %.

If I have a hundred thirsty people in front of me, and I have 25 bottles of water, I should charge as much as I can get for that water, because I will take that money and buy more water, and someone else will see what I am doing and try to do the same thing.  That's the way a healthy economy works.

I cannot get on board with the idea that the government should decide when a company is charging too much for their product.

So, you are ok with the $69 hotel in Ocala charging $369/night during a hurricane evacuation?

So, I assume you are also ok if all the gas stations along I95 charge $20/gallon for gas during an evacuation.

Can't wait to see the Publix prices this summer when a hurricane is on the way .... perhaps $100 per case will be fitting.

Definitely a good way to weed out the poor people and enable the rich to survive national disasters.

Dumb move to pull out the US troops in the 1st place.  Wonder who made that idiotic deal with the Taliban.

Trump's surrender to the Taliban was pretty much equivalent to the Japan's Emperor Hirohito surrender in WWII

There's no such thing as price gouging.  There's market price and price fixing.  Keeping a hotel artificially low because of "fairness" would actually hurt supply.  Instead of a family of 4 making do with 1 room as they might do because of price, if they happen to be "first to the counter" to reserve rooms, they might instead reserve 3 rooms leaving fewer for other needy families.  1 for the husband and wife and 1 each for their adult son and daughter who prefer not to share a room together.  This example is hyperbolic, but it's one of many examples for why a family or other group traveling together might want multiple rooms when 1 would suffice.  Also, higher market prices motivate people from other areas to load up their trucks and bring needed supplies like generators to an affected area.  Without a profit motive, those people aren't bothering and people in affected areas who want generators and are willing to pay over MSRP won't even have the opportunity.

Your example is nonsense.
In an emergency no one's going to magically put more hotel rooms on the market.
They may load up their trucks with supplies and come in after the storm has passed but not during the evacuation.
Yes generally suppliers should be able to react to scarcity by setting prices higher.  But not in some types of emergencies.

It's ironic that Franklin always feels a need to tell us who his dad voted or would have voted for.

Because his dad never told us, not in 70+ years of voting.

Franklin uses his name but doesn't follow his example.

See? Now this is a Trump level lie. Nothing to be upset about. Everyone has a good laugh. It's unimportant.
