Respect the game. Play with a sense of urgency.
1.) Take care of the ball. Win the turnover battle. 2.) It's all about 3rd down. Win on 3rd down to win the game. 3.) Playmakers make plays. Bout what I expected, no surprises. Cole wouldn't last on the PS (for good reason) so you have to keep him on the roster. Everything else is what it is. Pretty normal cut down for a team that we believe is plenty talented.

I feel good about our depth, except at o-line. I think the health of the line will ultimately determine the success of the season. If we get lucky and have decent help there, then we are going to have a big year.

This team looks really good on paper. It's just the offensive line that leaves quite a bit to be desired. Putting a lot of stock in Foster as a rookie and Hodges as a second year player that missed most of his rookie season, if not, all of it. We're still looking at Fortner as a back-up to his replacement as well. The big difference though, is, having Robinson and Cleveland starting off together on the left side. I think that alone is a massive advantage going into this year Vs. last year. I am confident in Walker Little as a back-up during a contract year especially. Scherff has shown over the years that he's tough as nails and can work through injuries. I think Van Lanen also showed some promise this preseason. So, in a lot of ways, yes, the offensive line is much improved and starting off on better footing, it's just going to be tough sledding because our schedule appears much more difficult upfront compared to the gauntlet they had to run through last year after the half way point of the season. Hopefully we don't have to see Hodges, Foster, Little, Van Lanen & Fortner at all this year in the starting line-up. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I'm really only surprised that they didn't keep one more safety. I guess Caleb Johnson has more value on Teams than Edmunds had backing up at Safety, because the extra linebacker in this scheme would appear to be unneeded.
Other than that I'm really optimistic about this roster, I think they got better and deeper this year and most importantly, they got a good center. I'll be sacrificing a goat for Morse's health each Sunday morning at 9am if anyone wants to join me for breakfast immediately thereafter. “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato

They improved at center, but I'm not sure Morse wouldn't be in Buffalo if he were still considered "'good" by them. Fortunately, I think an above average center can be enough to win the AFC South division. Scherff and Morse will need to be really good as a duo.

Brandon Scherff is no longer that dude. Next season I want him gone. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Buffalo had a full blown turnover this off season with their roster. They had a window of opportunity to push for a Superbowl run the past few years, it's fallen short now with a lot of defenders gone and a few changes on offense. I know some folks will count them in it as long as Josh Allen is there, but, he's overdue for an injury. You can't run around like Superman out there forever, it will eventually catch up with him. Morse was let go because of his age and change of scheme. It's not Scherff and Harrison that concern me to the right of Morse. It's the left side between Robinson's injury history and Cleveland still working his way through injuries last year and earlier this summer. Those two actually need to be able to work and flow together as a duo. We need them more than anybody really. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? You might want to splurge for 2 more goats to cover the two guards.

The bills went into this season $44 million over the cap, so they cut 4 guys to clear space. They'd already prepared for this by having Connor McGovern on the roster and then they drafted Sedrick Van Pran in April. That's a model for how veteran replacement should work, let go of expensive older guys before they fall off the cliff, not after. I think we'll benefit from Morse's last high performing season this year, I don't know that he can do it at 34 next year, so I wish they'd drafted a guy already instead of keeping Fortner. “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato

We have signed OL Blake Hance, S Matthew Jackson, and WR Louis Rees-Zammit to the practice squad.
