Game week! Keys to Victory over Dolphins

Defenses also typically don’t do very well the first time they face a McDaniels offense because of the speed and motion on every play. Some of those games in September have come down to the wire as well. Barely knifing out teams like Baltimore and Buffalo if I recall correctly. I think we match-up relatively well in this game. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I, who was born in a naked land and bred in the open sky. That's why I harped on it earlier with Nielsen. He's going to have to call a really good game and the coverages he chooses to mix and match with will be vital to their success. It's the running game that concerns me to some extent. This is where all of that money and resources that was devoted to addressing the front four and linebacking core needs to shine. They need to keep Achane and Mostert in check and they need to get in Tua's face in obvious passing situations. Expect a lot of pre motion stuff, a lot of quick stuff and pick play stuff. Somebody needs to jump a pass in this one (Looking at you Campbell, you're now primo numero uno at CB salary wise) and Cisco needs to be ready to lay the wood to set the tone early. You cannot give Hill free, clean releases at the line of scrimmage. Somebody is going to have to handle Waddle one-on-one and Hill is going to need to be jammed and coverage favored in his direction. This game could end up a lot like last year's game in Cleveland on paper. Just can't make any mistakes on offense and you have a shot to keep pace with them. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? keys to Victory 1. don't beat yourselves 2. protect Trevor 3. don't lose turn over battle 4. Beat the refs by keep playing when the refs make bad calls on you. in other take the bad call ,and keep playing jags winning football.
snowwolf titans owner in madden. note titans owner means im undeafted againest them.
It is going to be fun. I am not sure what version of the Jaguars we will get this year, but I am overly optimistic!
On offense protect Trevor. He’ll find the open man and if nothing is open throw it away.
On defense as previously stated jam the WR’s and throw off the timing then put pressure on Tua not allowing him to run through the route tree.

Got to disrupt Tua, get pressure on him and he’ll fold like a cheap towel…

The key will be to win in the trenches on both sides of the ball. Tua has always struggled when facing pressure even going back to Alabama. They key on D will be to get in Tuas face, hit him, and pressure him as much as possible.
On offense the oline has to win their matchup against the Miami's dline. Mia. front 7 isnt very good. Wilkins is gone, Chubb is out, and Phillips is coming back from a bad injury. Mia has a very good secondary with Holland, Poyer, Maye, Fuller, and Ramsey so we need to take advantage of the front 7. I think Etienne and Engram both have big days. Armstead vs Allen will be something to watch and I want to see Walker own Jackson.
Week 1 is always an odd week. Teams at different stages of preparation, first real game for most players, week 1 often throws up some odd scores. This is a tough game right out the gate but I want to see us in tough games. That's where you see where you really are as a team. I'd love a win but won't be disappointed if its an L.
The key thing for me is Hill. His speed is ridiculous. He can outrun guys if you get to close and be near impossible to stop if you give him too much space, but you focus too much on him then Waddle will hurt you. Being able to get pressure with 4 will be a big factor in this one. Cannot wait for Sunday and have a lot of faith and hope for this year. It won't be decided by 1 game.
Just score a lot and hoping they can be effective on the ground and get a few punts outta the phins.
No Fun

Take advantage of your scoring opportunities. FGs won’t get it done. I like to think we’ll get this one with our defensive upgrades but I dunno. This early schedule is pretty brutal. This is where I am. Smother them, win the turnover battle, Keep chains moving. This is one of those games I wish we were playing in December, though.
This may be ugly. Wish we played them at the end of the season when their key players are typically banged up.
I look for them to start with a lot of quick passes to get the ball out of Tua's hands. Then to offset any over pursuit, they will run some counter plays and trick plays to get our D off balance. I think our key here is to run the ball and eat up the clock, but since we we can't run the ball we're forced to pass more than desired. Phins 31 --- Jags 23

I think we'll sneak out of this with a win. Cam Little gets his first pressure moment in his first official regular season game and delivers. Boots a 43 yarder with 10 seconds left in the game for the win.
Jaguars - 27 Dolphins - 24 Offense plays turnover free. Defense forces one turnover that leads to 3 early in the game. Special Team's makes a play to set-up a nice TD drive in the 2nd half. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I hope .... but I think this is one of those games where there is miscommunication in the secondary and players are looking at each other thinking the other had the coverage on big plays by the Phins. I would add that it's not just week 1. It's usually the first month or so of the season that can lead to false conclusions about teams. This has been exacerbated by the shortened preseason.
In addition, I don't get the fear of injury in the preseason as approaching the situation rationally (except maybe for QB). If dude gets injured and out for the season in preseason game 2 or week 1 of the regular season, what's really the difference? The only argument that makes sense to me is you have guys competing to make the roster that probably have little chance of making it and their mentality in the preseason game may be to throw caution to the win in order to make a play and get noticed which might put other guys on the field at greater risk. I agree with that being a concern and the solution is to have an agreement by both squads or by the league on how long 1's will play in preseason games and perhaps even how long the 2's will play.

Jags own both sides of the ball, make it look easy. We see Mac Jones in the 4th qtr so Trev can bask in victory.

Given the anticipated blowouts by the Jags this season, Mac Jones may get more playing time than Trevor. That's exactly why I picked my Mac in Round 3 of my Fantasy Football Draft.
