I don't mean to pour cold water on Doug here as I'm rooting for the team to get back on track and not for anyone to get fired, but he said essentially the opposite in his post game interview against the Bills.  I think there is often an unfair attempt by some or even many to label a coach as having "lost the locker room" during a losing streak.  There's a need to find that singular focus for the why when it's almost always not that simple.  I get frustrations are high and maybe a coach says things he shouldn't or doesn't really mean at times.  God knows he's been visibly frustrated with the media immediately after these losses, but he made the comment after the Bills game that bad teams are leaderless, mediocre teams are coach led and good teams are player led in an apparent attempt to call out the player leadership on the team.  Today he says "we have a good group" and "the right leaders are in there".  Is he lying now or was he saying what he said after the Bills loss in frustration at how badly they lost?  I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume it's the latter for now.  This is a big game for us and for him this weekend.

In and of itself, telling players to be accountable isn’t a bad thing. Telling them that while not holding your OC accountable is hypocritical and will definitely lose the locker room. Here we are.

What most don't seem to get is that the OC is DOING WHAT HE WANTS! I don't understand why people think Pederson is going to be outraged at Taylor for calling Doug's offense the way Doug wants it called. And the play calling continually puts these guys in the position to make pretty basic plays for NFL players, and they keep blowing it! Fumbling at the goal line, letting the QB get crushed by back up defenders, spinning out instead of stepping up, catching the ball and falling down when there's no defender within 5 yards, overthrowing wide open receivers, having the ball bounce off the hands or face mask in the end zone...these aren't play calling problems. If they do those things like pro players everywhere else seem able to then no one is [BLEEP] about the play calls because they've got 3 easy and convincing wins instead of 3 close losses.

If the players arent executing or producing on the field the blame goes to the coaching staff and this coaching staff is led by the HC Doug Pederson.

The blame automatically goes to him wether this players arent executing or not has nothing to do with the job title. We arent seeing results or therefore we are seeing piss poor results so that means we blame the coaches and front office for an awful product. Heads have to be cut and that starts with Baalke and the coaching staff, then the end product starts with cutting lazy players that cashed in their paychecks and stink, that starts with Trevor Lawrence. But in order to get there we have to start from hiring a new crew and seeing the root cause of the issue.

I recall the start of the Cleveland game. And how lifeless everything looked pre-game. Journalists and even the broadcast team pointed out the lack of "juice" during warm ups. And then we came out lifeless to start the game. We've been hung over this season since the ETN fumble, and nobody could figure out how to wake the [BLEEP] back up.

I was addressing why people are dumb to think Pederson is mad at Taylor. You don't get mad at a coach who is doing exactly what you want and being let down by the players. That's like shooting the Rooster because the dog let the fox into the hen house.

The team is clearly in business mode, not win mode. Not sure when it happened or why exactly.

I get the argument that players not plays, but then whose job is it to motivate the players to play beyond business mode? I feel like that should fall on the coaches. Part of being a coach is finding what motivates people, focusing them, and getting them to give 100% effort. Should the players motivate themselves, is that not on the coaches?

I think it's a week-to-week thing. Especially with him. I am giving him the benefit of the doubt here as well. This game is absolutely massive at home. 

They lose this game and then out to London with their back-to-back games? Failing to come back 2 - 5 after losing at home potentially to the clots this week could spell the end early for him and possibly Baalke.

We are not staying on the field because we are missing open guys, we are not consistently able to block people, when we need 1 or 2 yards we get our butts wiped out and in crunch time the other professional impose their will upon you. Just strap it up BUTTERCUP, do your job and win your assignment. Your feelings? LOOOOL, maybe we need to install tampon machines in the locker room for you spoiled millionaires.

Agreed. This is what a lot of the former players have been saying. I feel like I have now heard this from Lageman, Boselli, Garrard, Darius and Taylor. Sure, the coaches need to do their job's, etc. 

However, I have dialed it back on the coaches. It's 60/40 for me. The players have to execute better. We're easily looking at 28 points strictly off the board because of the players. 

That's me discounting the facemask passes being dropped by Kirk in BUF and Davis as well. That's another 42 points if we're being fair, which all the box score heads and analysts like to point towards to build up their argument's when looking at overall ranks, YPG, etc. 

The players have not been the same since Etienne's fumble in Miami. They collectively [BLEEP] themselves and have yet to change themselves and move on from that very moment.

Losing looks bad. Cheerleading loosing looks like all that time Gus was in charge. As I have said before, the league is down going on a streak could do a lot.it is a long season with slow starts.

The league honestly sucks. The practice time has decreased with less contact and less coaching opportunities. This problems at the organizational level are the institutional problem

The thing is, you can't fire all the players...  Yet year after year, there are teams that hire the right coach and turn around a bad.  Hell, we all thought we got it right with Doug after we made the playoffs in his first year.  Unfortunately, I think that was just an aberration.  

After the fumble, the team folded like a 7-3 offsuit in a game of Texas Hold 'em.

Then they came out complete devoud of any juice or passion against cleveland when you'd think they'd be seeing red and ready for blood.  

And of course we complete rolled over and showed our bellies to the bills.  A bills team, might I remind everyone, we beat in London last year.  

Against the tin horns, I thought everything looked pretty good, but at the end of the day, mistakes were made by our QB and our coaching decisions that resulted in the straw that I think may have broken the back of this dehydrated camel.

I caught a little bit of Hays and marble mouth discussing this this afternoon on 1010xl and marble mouth stated he's on the team plane for away games and is around the guys a lot at the stadium and he hasn't picked up one iota of "lost the locker room" vibes FWIW.

At this point Doug Pederson press Taylor might as well be the same person. Doug Taylor is our OC. 

I’m not willing to go there as far as losing the locker room.. team still had fight against the tinhorns and I think they will this weekend as well. 

But in the end they have to win.. this will all sort itself out in the coming weeks and if we are staring at 3-8 or 2-9 , i imagine there might be some validity to this guys claim. Of course at that point this board will have imploded lol.
