Oof. Can we trade Baalke?

I wish. DHam has a $12 million dead cap to deal with. If they trade him it accelerates yo this year. Otherwise it's spread out over his remaining years.

"Well, you know, Trent, he has a good point."
"Et tu, Shad? Keep it up and I'll walk out the door and leave you with no one around to make the big boy football decisions around here. Now be a good little owner and go sit on your yacht to count your fat stacks."
"Well, okaaayy."
"That's what I thought. Now back to business. I'll get some linebackers in here with arms so long their knuckles will drag."

Oh, please.  I come up with something just as good.  I just choose not to.

On topic:  I just noticed that it's a pick in 2026.  Did Baalke think this is 2025???

No, that's market value for RRH.

Ugh...  So is this a Baalke Master Class move?

I dunno, I wonder...was RRH the 12th man yesterday? If so good on them for getting rid of him.

So let's load up with picks and let the same losers make the picks.
Birth of the Franchise - November 30, 1993
Death of the Franchise - November 29, 2011

Fans deserve better. Thanks for all the good times too many are in the past.

I was kinda pissed they didn't show a replay and count out the 12 guys.  They usually do that during situations like this...  The NFL network broadcast of yesterdays game was trash all around.

I hope not.  Baalke needs to go.  He should be gone now so the search for a real GM can begin.

Thank goodness.

Dude isn't the future, and was a below average (not horrible) defensive lineman.  If we could move Scherff as well I'd actually have a smile on my face.

In 2026? [BLEEP] no. LOL. That's a bad move. A give up move really. Watch this [BLEEP] holes spin this too. Can't wait to hear Baalke's raspy [BLEEP] voice explain this decision. Didn't he just get a [BLEEP] sack yesterday as well? We have literally NO push anywhere else on this defense in the pass game and they sell off the one guy that finally made an appearance on the stat sheet?

LOL.

If he hadn't gotten the sack yesterday he'd still be on the roster...so thank goodness he got that sack.   Balke has made bad moves, but getting rid of RRH wasn't one of them.   He shouldn't have been signed in the offseason (which is the real problem) and they should have gotten a better piece for the defensive line before the season started.

Brandon Scherff is no longer that dude.   Next season I want him gone.

That was my initial reaction as well, but when you click on the scissors icon on spotrac it actually shows a cap savings this year with most of the hit happening next year for a post June 1st trade which is what this would be.  As long as we're comfortable with the hit next year, his cap hit shouldn't be a detriment to trading him.

You're right, on my phone I hit the 2025 data. Still, a hit of 12 next year is steep.

It's kinda annoying that the first casualty of this titanic disaster is Baalke getting rid of a player, instead of the owner getting rid of Baalke

That's an easy conclusion to make after a trade at 1-5, but I'm not sure it necessarily means that by itself.  We have a lot of young guys behind him that will fill the vacuum and he hasn't been a significant contributor since 2022.  If we start trading other pieces then yeah I would see it as a throwing in the towel type of move, but I'm not ready to go there just yet.

This is why Khan needs to can Baalke now.

The next GM should be the one deciding who stays and who goes, not Baalke, who should already be out on his [BLEEP] right now.

Eh... RRH has/had trade value right now.  He won't have trade value in the offseason.  And you're not hiring a GM to come in in week 7.  This trade is driven by circumstance and shouldn't be lamented because it's not the next GM already at the helm making the decision.

I like you Jaguarmeister, your keeping your head when all around are losing theirs. I applaud you. Your right as you usually are, on its own it's not a huge sign but it does feel like the start of a few going sadly. RRH has been less and less a factor lately and did seem a leader at one point.

I'm not a fan of the whiplash signals the franchise is sending out right now. Well see what the next few weeks shows but I wouldn't be shocked to see Etienne and maybe Kirk getting moved at the moment. And it hurts to say that.
