FIRE NIELSEN
|
It’s time - no more excuses. This is the WORST coached secondary ive ever seen in the NFL - absolutely pathetic scheme and half time adjustments.
We have lost at least 3 games because of this bum. If Doug wants a shot at keeping his job, he needs to make this adjustment. This is PATHETIC We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
And Doug.
And Baalke. And the bozo players outside of Bigsby, BTJ, Engram, Tyson and Cooke. And the janitors. (10-27-2024, 04:18 PM)enigma Wrote: And Doug. Shad doesn’t have it in him to do this yet. That’s why im saying at the VERY least we need to fire Nielsen, this is just unacceptable coaching. COACHING MALPRACTICE

Was Atlanta's defense this bad last season?
Is it a positional coach thing? Injuries? Not sure if an in season assistant coach firing is going to have any impact. Defense has been questionable from the second game. What I do know is that you don't win crap without a good defense.

Brandon Scherff is no longer that dude. Next season I want him gone.

Defense taking plays off? More like taking games off. Outside Miller, everyone on defense has not earned their roster spot

Ive never seen a Jags Defense this INEPT every week. It’s the worst coached D in the NFL. Mike Caldwell was way better than this… AND that’s saying something
Yes. Fire Nielsen now. Doug and Trent can come at the end of the season, but front office has to give us some hint that they are at least TRYING to get better.

I don't know how they can fire Nielsen now when they still haven't fired Doug and Baalke.
This is all going to take care of itself in due time .. no staff can withstand what this team is about to finish. They all will be gone.

Our last 'elite' defense was the 99-2000 season. Period. 2017 was fools gold. And its not a coincidence that we had an elite DC back then in Dom Capers.

The problem isn't coaching, it's talent.
When you don't have the defensive talent to be able to stop the run or rush the passer without selljng out to do either of those things then you can't do anything. The Jaguars have had a talent deficit at every position on the team except for offensive skill players for years.
Nielsen scheme is press man to man, only CB really who fits it is Tyson who was BALLING today btw. So the hire literally made zero sense, they made Mike Caldwell the fall guy. Caldwell atleast got JHA and Walker some sacks.
The D-line rotates like a hockey team, Walker/JHA go invisible for 91% the game, and Armstead is a pure bust. Oh, and 2nd round Maason Smith inactive lol. Nielsen is refusing to adjust, he just runs his scheme.... and with this particular roster its like fitting a square 10x10 ft peg into a 1 inch wide round hole. Just all around suckery.

You know .... not seeing things change very much. The owner will need to figure it out.

A coaches job is to put his players in positions to be most effective, and to motivate them to give effort consistently throughout the game. Do the Jags players play in the right position to make stops or make plays? Do the Jags players play with effort throughout the entire game? The answer to both of those is "no". So what are the Jags coaches good for? |
