As well as Lawrence played, that fumble he had was huge this game. No room for error

He got us back into the game twice and the D pissed it away. AGAIN.
It's a two way street. Period. His earlier mistakes hurt. 15 yards in 1 quarter? Didn't do anything on offense after the defense forced 3 - 5 punts in the 1st half.

They collectively suck and his 2 turnovers didn't help. Not defending him and kicking this defense down at the same time.

They ALL need to be tossed in the fire for this loss today. Including #16.

Hines isn't a 4-3 end, LBs aren't 4-3 lbs, the Dbs aren't 4-3 Dbs, they have 0 4-3 DTs
Lawrence needs to be given a line, a consistent ground game and an offensive philosophy that makes him a game manager; he's not ready to be a field general for 4 quarters.

It can be blamed on coaching thats trying scheme schemes rather than personnel , but who picked the coaches?

Curious what you mean.

I remember a lot of people -- on this board, pundits, and coaches -- saying how the Nielsen's scheme was a better fit and going to allow him to be more free.

The disappointment phase of the cycle (which we're in) hits hard for a day or two,  then it starts changing towards optimism and hope for the next game (just enough time) for them to hurt us again.

Trevor goes against a top 10 D and scores 27…..

The defense can’t stop Malik Willis….

Come on now. If there’s a unit to blame?

I'm surprised he was even on the field for a crucial play.  Usually we have guys running on and off each down like a revolving door and no one gets in a rhythm and no wonder someone misses an assignment here and there.

Oh well, we HAD this game. Gave it away

Because apparently, we have a HIGHSCHOOL Defense out there with a D Coordinator

He did ten times better than stroud did last week and put up more points but hey let’s blame him.

The defense he played leads the league in turnovers. He had two dumb as frick plays. Then he makes up for it. The team lost as a team but defense deserves more blame.

I swear we’re in the twilight zone.

Trevor has been the best QB we’ve had in 25 years, a genuine talent and a good starter. And we wanna toss him

Other things around him aren’t right. Coverages suck. No blitzing up the middle most of this season. On and on

Yea it hurt, but the Defender punched it out of his hand. They do get paid as well.

It's just piss poor coaching. This team proves that they have talent all over the field. But they just aren't put in the best positions, they are not prepped to start games strong. They are not taught discipline to not false start. They have no passion because the coaches have no consistent message.

We are wasting Trevor Lawrence is a inept, lazy, good for nothing HC that isn't good enough to actually lead an NFL team for more than 1 or 2 years.

Great game by all the players. They played their hearts out and did everything they could do based on how the coaches are coaching them. I didn't think we'd win this game. But it was good to see how much potential this team has.

Bad throw, he was wide open.

Offense is back to sideline routes. Numbers and out, which Trevor doesn't do well. They need to go back to the quick hitting routes over the middle.

He never should have resigned with this toxic franchise.

He had some bad turnovers. No one is denying that.

But he put the Jags up 17-13 and then the defense proceeded to let Malik Willis march right down the field.

Like what are we doing here? Davis Kirk and BTJ all go down and he still drives down the field for a TD. Then what does the D do? Let Jayden Reed free on a play LaFleur and the Kubiak system are known for.

This loss is on the defense.

Not "we", just a few goofballs and a few more trolls.

Trevor Lawrence is a good QB that could be great with the proper coaching staff.

Does Nielsen not have any assistant coaches who could help him right the ship on defense?
