I'd still like to focus on O-line within the first two rounds, but we need upgrades at multiple positions though.

It all depends on where we end up in the draft order and who is available at the end of the day.

You have to be able to find some positions you can fix with 2nd/3rd tier FA that fit the new schemes.

I think because of we don't know what the scheme will be and what those additions will be, we cannot predict at all how the draft should ideally play out.

It doesn't matter what scheme we play we need a corner opposite Campbell.  Will Johnson on the other side would be nice.  Mason Grham would also look good in teal and can play in any defense.

I'll sign up for that. Would address 2 big needs on defense. Prior to that, hire Ben Johnson as coach and sign Trey Smith to replace Scherff on the O. Line.

Trey Smith is the 1 FA addition I want most. Agreed on Ben Johnson as well

Well, not too early for this now. Gives time to watch some of these guys play. Any centers of note coming out?

Florida's center Jake Slaughter, he has been very good for us.  He will be going up against a bunch of early draft picks in the coming weeks.  I will be watching him very closely the rest of the year, Georgia up this week.

The group of centers in 2025 isn't as strong at the top like this year's excellent group lead by Jackson Powers-Johnson, Graham Barton and Zack Frazier. The top ranking currently goes to Parker Brailsford from Alabama, who likely won't go until the 3rd round- at best. Morse should be good for 1 more season so they can draft someone with upside who could inherit the starting position in year 2.

Cooper Beebe as well.  Last years class was probably the strongest center class i have ever seen.  I doubt we see another center class like that for a while.

We will once again have an opportunity to get an elite blue chip player at the top of the draft We have to hit on that pick. We will also have one of the top picks in the 2nd round, should be another very good player. We have to hit there as well. We have a couple of 3rds, a couple of 4ths, and 60 mil in cap space next year. We can't [BLEEP] this up

Sounds great, Fortner went in the third.

...and we spent two early picks on DT and still are lacking at that spot.

Thanks, time to start watching these guys against quality college players.  After all most big 4 linemen do well against lesser teams.

Gonna have to pass on the tackles with our 1st pick. We really need Little to be that guy for us if not Harrison will be moving to LT.

OT Will Campbell, LSU

LSU's Will Campbell is a future starting NFL blocker. Over the last two weeks, he's showed why he may not do so at left tackle.

"After facing the best competition over the last two weeks in Arkansas' Landon Jackson and Texas A&M's Nic Scourton (as well as Shemar Stewart) some of the questions about Campbell's ability to stay at tackle in the NFL were brought to light. It wasn't that Campbell massively struggled against these players either. In fact he had his own share of decisive wins that highlighted his strengths. However, it was in the way he lost those reps.

"Against Arkansas, Campbell was beaten three times by Jackson executing the same move (cross-chop) each time due to being a tick late with his strike timing that led to his outside hand being trapped before he lost the corner. This speaks to questions about his ability to keep rushers at his fingertips once they have initially won, which would help to widen the corner rather than have it compressed too quickly.

"Against the 6'4", 280-pound Scourton and 6'6", 292-pound Stewart, Campbell uncharacteristically lost several reps in the run game primarily due to being compressed and benched backwards. But he also lost again in pass protection after getting his outside hand swiped by Scourton and then later to an inside spin move.

"Overall, Campbell is still winning in the same ways he has all season but as competition has ramped up and the body types have become bigger/longer there have been notable losses mixed in that provide examples of why a move inside at the next level may be best."

Banks was getting beat badly by Georgias edge's last week as well.

Its easily Will Johnson or Travis Hunter right now for me. Going to watch Mason Graham and Nic scourtin closely the rest of the season as well.
