Fire Doug Pederson?

Or he's just biding his time to either get fired or finish out the season for a guaranteed payout portion of his contract. My gut tells me it's the latter. He's going to lose his job anyway. Might as well ride it out and capitalize on the financial side.

I can’t imagine he’d resign and potentially give up any remaining contract. Shad needs to nut up and can him. Baalke should go at the same time.

Doug has been planning his retirement since the end of the 2022 playoff run.  He thought he was gonna be lauded as a great HC, he forgot he had to actually do more work than just 1 season.

I actually think if we fired Doug and Press and Trevor played we would win a few games. Khan might just wait till the end of the year so we get the top pick for the new GM

I meant that as well but didn't state it. I can't blame the guy for staying the course for financial gain. We're talking hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars.

If I were Khan, I would can Baalke now and see how Doug reacts. If suddenly there is spring in his step and we start winning, the solution may have been easier than expected. Admittedly, that's rooted in wishful thinking. The only realistic outcome to turn this team around is to fire everyone down to the equipment manager and start anew.

I think it makes no difference at all. These players reached their zenith with this staff, another staff won't get any more out of them.

Geez, this is the stuff that makes you unserious.

Who ever said I was serious?

Come on, man.  Just enjoy the suck.  Believe it or not, I'm not trying to [BLEEP] around with you.  I'm just here as a die hard jag fan.

Maybe the difference is I've been in Pederson's shoes professionally. I've been in the position of having people work for me that just couldn't do their jobs but I was stuck with them because of corporate bull [BLEEP]. My evaluation was defendant on their ability to not [BLEEP] it up, and that's hard to accept, especially when the buck is supposed to stop with you but you don't have authority to  actually do any more to make it work. Then everyone blames you for the shortcomings of people you couldn't get rid of. Do you really think Doug Pederson wanted Gabe Davis to be his #2 receiver? I don't', I think he was a good soldier and said all the right things about a guy he knew wasn't going to help this team. The people get all pissed at Doug that Davis can't catch a cold in the dead of winter. Like that [BLEEP] is his fault

Pederson should be fired, I'm ok with that. What I'm not ok with is the idea that Pederson is the reason this team is [BLEEP]. It won't be better next year if the front office is the same.

Believe it or not, I've also been a manager.  I've taken trash employees and made them competent.  It takes passion to turn around a bad batch.  Not only that, it takes hard work.  Doug doesn't do that.

We're probably about the same age.  I've worked my [BLEEP] off to make sure things ran correctly.  And when things fell short, I made sure to figure out if I was the problem or if there were other issues.  Usually, I would take the blame, even when the employees were not up to snuff.  And then I would make sure to train those I had confidence in, and the other's I would write up.  I'd give them warnings that they needed to do better.  But that's business.  Additionally, you have to delegate responsibility.   But you only do that when you know that the person you give power to is competent.  When things go sideways, you have to re-evaluate your management style.

You talk to folks on this board like we're a bunch of morons.  You forget that most of us here are just as professional as you are.

And yet, you take your opinion there as fact.

And yes, there's about 3 of you who are morons.

That's an opinion and you're entitled to it, By no means does that make it fact.

I'm on my second handle of bourbon after my 750 of rum during the game. If you think you can keep up I'll let you buy and we'll see.

Maybe Doug should grow a mustache and goatee like Dan Campbell of the Lions. That could our whole problem...

That's a bet, bro.

Give me a date, and I'll be there.  I'm assuming you live in the Jacksonville area.  Anywhere from Callahan to St. Augustine.  I'll show up.  But bring your money, cuz I'll drink you're [BLEEP] under the table.  Hell, I'm drunk right now.
