*** Official Game Day Thread - Jags @ loins ***

#1

I guess it's time to put up a game day thread, so here it is. I have to wonder how many Jags fans are cheering for a bad loss today in hopes that Doug Pederson is fired over the bye week. It seems to be the common position around town in the media that only an upset win today keeps Pederson as the coach. More importantly, does a bad loss today have any impact on the General Manager?

As for the game, the loins are really good and the Home Team really isn't. Mac Jones gets the start for a depleted roster that likely, once again, plays hard but isn't good enough to win. The spread was Jags +14 earlier this week, so even Vegas doesn't expect much of a game from the team.

Game time at 1pm, local broadcast on CBS.

Just looking for the guys to come out and play hard with some good individual performances. Not expecting to be in this one late though without Trevor out there.

I had honestly forgotten there was a game today. Typically, I'll subconsciously plan my Sunday around the 1:00 hour and it didn't even cross my mind until I turned on the TV and flipped through to Good Morning Football.

Hey, if Doug doesn't care, I don't care.

Lions destroyed this team last year. History will either repeat or Doug will come out as the biggest troll in history and go on a win streak and finish 9-8 again.

I'll always be here for a gameday, no matter how good or bad things are going.

Have zero expectations of anything positive happening today for us but hey, I'm a Jags fan. Gotta ride with the team even when I hate big parts of it

It's the NFL,  any given Sunday.  Our franchise has fallen back into the toilet though so it feels like two teams going in completely different directions.  There are no morale victories,  but another close loss today would actually feel like an accomplishment.  Mac or no Mac we aren't winning this..  but flukes can happen.  The way we lose games isn't because we don't show up,  it's just stupid mistakes and not finishing.  Today we may just get run out of town.

Mac Jones is playing for his career though.

Hoping for a win, but highly doubtful.. So I'm just gonna try to enjoy one football game at a time because that offseason is long and unforgiving..

Go Jags!!

Hoping for any given Sunday.  Expecting to be soundly beaten by a much better team.

Like others I'll never pull for the jags to lose. I believe I am the same place Doug is. It is what it is, play hard and HOPE.

I'm going to be truthful. I don't want a win. I want the opposite. I want a humiliating, teeth-kicked-in loss. If that's what it takes to get Shad Khan to clean house, then so be it. But the fact that Mac Jones is starting will provide enough wiggle room for the mustachioed one to defer the needed decision for another agonizing game cycle.

Khan: 'We'll use bye week to examine what needs to be done and adjust our game blah, blah, blah...'

An L today, no matter how close or big, is the only time there's a chance Doug will be let go before the end of the season.

It's either today, tomorrow or Black Monday.

It HAS to be a a blowout in order for Khan to consider firing dougy p. Lmao. Such a joke.

Makes it quite clear that Baalke is more than safe. He has the keys for the next decade.

Not just Doug, I want Baalke gone too. However, as I've stated on here before, I would be amenable to Trent leaving to see how Doug responds.

Might as well let the whole crew ride out the rest of the season, honestly.. What can replacing them do right now? This team is so far in the hole lol
