I really like the idea of Boselli being the EVP, let him hire a 3rd party staff to help him consult with to find a GM and HC.  

I think Khan is ready to clear house and really make a move for perennial dominance.  I'm not sure who I'd like as GM.  But Ben Johnson, Detriot's OC, should be top of the list for HC.

Yeah, I hear ya.  It's hope.  But it's hope based on the fact that I think Shad is finally coming into his own as someone that has now had over a decade of Ownership experience.  I just got back from a long trip to Dallas, so I'm too tired right now to write as much as I usually do...

But I would say this...  I think Shad, in his first 5 years tried to revamp the franchise with his son.  They were both out of their depth.  The next 5 years, he realized he needed expertise and hired Coughlin to run things.  He got burned by that, and this last 5 years he's tried to keep stability with Baalke to try and remove any sort of chaos.

Compared to other owners, Shad is a young pup.  The decisions he's made after the first 5 years have been reasonable decisions.  He's not a trash owner like they have in NY, or Cincy, or AZ, or Carolina, or Cleveland.  He's made mistakes.  And yes, one of his mistakes was keeping Baalke too long.  But I'd rather have Shad as the owner than someone like Jerruh Jones or the others I mentioned.  

Shad is trying to find stability and a front office that can build a winning culture.  I think/hope that he's finally come to an understanding of what is needed in the NFL to really create a competent franchise.  The thing that people hate about Shad is his patience.  However, most owners that are succcessful are the ones that are patient and don't over react one way or the other.  His greatest flaw to you and others in the fan base can potentially be his greatest strength.

If he hires the right EVP this offseason (if not sooner) and get's rid of Baalke (ASAP), I am hopeful that this can be turned around.  But yes, I'm merely speculating.  But it's speculation based on the tendencies of the owner.

what you are not taking into account is that if Khan goes, the Jaguars go also.  Because Khan is the reason the team is staying here.  Any other owner would move the team to another city.

The only issue with Shad Khan is that he's not willing to make immediate changes when it's clearly necessary and he likes the "stability" of holding over underlings when finally making the changes. We saw it with Marrone after Bradley and we saw it with Baalke after Caldwell. I hope he's learned his lesson this time, I really don't think he's the "off in La La Land" owner some of these posts make him out to be. He wants to win and spends big money to do so, he just hasn't learned the hard lesson yet. And yeah, I'd rather be here than with any of those other franchises as well.

??? Giants won 2 Super Bowls over the Patriots in the past 16 years and a total of 4 Super Bowls in he past 40 years.  I'd take that any day over what we experienced in the past 16 years and 30 years of our franchise respectively.

Also, for the record the Panthers playoff record is 9-8 with 2 SB appearance and 6 Division titles whereas the Jags playoff record is 8-8 with 0 SB appearances and 4 Division titles.   Thus, the Panthers have been a more successful franchise then the Jaguars.

The Jags have been the worst franchise in the NFL since Khan has taken ownership.  I too, like picking early in the draft but it kind of kills the fun of Oct-Nov-Dec

I get that knee jerk reactions aren't beneficial but we're halfway through the season and it's obvious to everyone there is no light at the end of this tunnel. Everyone knew Detroit would blow us out of the water. There should've been a plan in place that if Scenario A happened the after action would be ABC; if Scenario B happened the after action would be XYZ. Any good leader has a contingency plan or fallback position when stuff hits the fan so emotion isn't involved in the heat of the moment.

Well, just because it's 9:50 AM on Monday morning and no one has been fired doesn't mean Khan hasn't had a plan in place if we got blown out like we were.  He might have already fired him and he's letting him clean out his office and disappear, so he doesn't get swarmed by the media while he's toting boxes to his car.
