I think the only way forward for the rest of the season is to sell your tickets to opposing teams fans and convince that this is the perfect time for a weekend trip to a Jacksonville Beach and a football game.

Sometimes, the best thing you can do for your own mental health is to turn the game off and do something else.  That's what I did yesterday.  I turned it off at halftime pulled weeds in the back yard until the end of the game.  Why suffer?

I'm a fan of Mr. Khan (because I love Fulham as much as the Jags), but if he doesn't fire Trent I'm going to think there is something bigger than HIM going on.

The NFL is a fraternity, and there are a lot of other owners with tenure and larger fanbases that are perfectly happy with the Jags being mediocre to bad. Firing Trent and Doug will signal to me that he cares just as much about winning as he does about being in the fraternity.

I was a Steelers fan for over 40 years. The Rooneys and the city of Pittsburgh wouldn't settle for being bad (Well, they did prior to the 1970s)...and the Jags and Mr. Khan shouldn't settle today.

Fielding a soft, predictable team that most good offensive and defensive coordinators can out scheme has become the norm in Jacksonville.

That's ridiculous imo.

Brandon Scherff is no longer that dude.   Next season I want him gone.

I don't have a card for that, yet...  I'm planning on it, though.

The rest of us would then be stuck watching this best team in history week after week. That doesn't sound fair.

If you think they are so dumb that they don't see the writing on the wall, you're in for a surprise.

If you got guys who know they are done (and don't have plans to keep on in this line of work, like our HC very likely will not), they ain't gonna be bustin' their tail for good tape or positive references down the road. You don't keep futility around to drag the rest of your team down to their level of misery and apathy.

The added expense of any severance is well worth saving the rest your investment from decay.

Fair only comes once a year and smells of dung. This is business.

Could hire consultants now to start planning the next regime instead of starting in two months.

(you could do that anyway)

The next regime just gonna come in and kick one of our players in the face..

We tried that already, though his aim was a bit off.

The gutless coward Shad ain’t firing anyone. He has everyone filled into thinking he actually gives a [BLEEP] about the Jags.
Trent and Doug&Staff will be here next year

GM Joe Douglas has been fired in NYC, and Shad still sits on his hands.

We're getting lapped.

Shad's already made the call. I'd tell you more, but my agent is still working out the details on the contract.

Let's just say that this year's Draft Pick 'Um thread is going to be wild!

That felt like that should have honestly happened back when they canned Saleh. Jets are fixing to be jettisoned again in 2025 with no QB and no clear cut path or identity.

Khan really does need to get the ball rolling though. He's [BLEEP] around too much and he's going to be late to the party once again and miss out on a potential long term fix with yet another little spark that just cures the short term itch.

Shad is a bad football team owner.  It's not about the money or the Stadium or location.  It's about he is too loyal and takes way too long to make the tough decisions for the good of the team.

I would not be shocked if he brought them all back next year.  Maybe they fire the DC but I would not be surprised if Doug/Trent are still here next season.

One of the worst things about Khan as owner is the lack of communication with fans.

I know why Khan isn't going to fire anyone not even at the end of the season. No i don't have a source, but think about what I'm saying.

The reason Khan won't fire anyone this season, nor offseason both Balke, and doug will tell Khan we had way to many injuries to key players, and Khan will buy that. He will give doug at least 1 more year if players can stay healy in 2025.  they say on national tv next man up cause its all you can do,but behind closed doors GMS,and Coaches will use it as a reason to why season turned bad.

List of injured  players thoughout 2024 season.

Tank bigbsy
