Love those first 4 picks. You strengthened the secondary considerably. Milum is probably better suited to play on the inside, but his experience playing tackle would enable him to fill in when necessary. Restrepo is a lot like Parker Washington and the two would share the slot once Kirk leaves after next season. Gordon would share the running back position with Bigsby when Etienne is not re-signed.

Now all you need to do is sign Trey Smith in free agency and make sure Khan fires Baalke!

I think that would be a solid haul along with Smith like you said and could put us back in playoff contention with a good coaching staff.. Of course its still very early and the college playoffs we will see some guys rise and fall along with the Senior Bowl and combine.

This would be a dream draft, though arguably I’d want us to package the 2 2nds to be aggressive and move back up into the first to grab one of the Oline men around the teens.

The giants just announced Danny dimes as there QB3

They could offer a good package to us for the top pick,

To be honest I really struggle to see any long term viable pick for a QB in this draft class

I like Jaxson Dart out of Ole' Miss as a guy you draft in RD2 or RD3 and you sit and develop for at least two years. I think he has a certain knack and uncanny quality to his game. Almost like a Baker Mayfield type in my opinion.

I would love this to happen. If Lawrence returns, I'm afraid they won't have the number 1 pick as the the games vs. the Raiders and Titans are very winnable as is the Jets game as they seem to be going nowhere. If a couple quarterbacks do emerge (as usually is the case), they might still be able to trade back a little to a team desperately in need of a q.b. The Giants, Raiders and Jets are all possibilities as are the Panthers if Young does terribly down the stretch.

Back to your picks, Hunter would be my highest rated player for the Jaguars. Guys with his skill-set are rare and he could get some snaps as a receiver in addition to playing cornerback. Tuimoloau is very solid with upside as a pass rusher. Restrepo is a gamer and his signing would enable the team to release Kirk. Ratledge would immediately compete at the guard position as a replacement for Scherff. His run-blocking is much needed on this team. Not quite as high on Ersery and Harris. I'd prefer Milum to Ersery and Harris looks a lot like Gabe Davis- and we know how that has turned out. Davis is also likely to return due to his contract, so I'd prefer someone like Isaiah Bond from Texas who has tremendous speed and has had a very solid season. Don't know enough yet about your later picks to provide any critiques, but I do like adding 3 offensive linemen hoping at least one could make the 53 man roster.

Majors is on the rise in Texas. He's got good size and he'll be under a very important and detailed microscope as the play-off games get underway in the next few weeks. Webb was rising for a little bit as Jacksonville State was showing some promise as a relatively small school. They have since stalled out a bit and his stock has also taken a bit of a hit.

Lundt is now on the rise, and, for good reason. He's a mountain of a man. Standing at 6'8 and a little north of 300 pounds. He'll be at the Senior Bowl this year and he'll have the chance to increase his stock even further. Christian Haynes last year helped get Uconn on the map a bit more with their offense improving. I like Lundt as a pure RT at the next level with 35 career starts.

If he impresses at the bowl though he's probably a 7th RD pick that quickly jolts up into somebody's 4th or 5th round area based on needs. Especially on a run heavy offense. He's helped bolster a rushing attack that that carries a nice 3 back system. A healthy 1600+ rushing offense at the moment with all of them averaging 5.1, 5.4 and 6.9 YPC at the moment as a trio.

Thanks for the info. I'll keep an eye on the potential late round picks you mentioned. I hate that the team is so bad that all we have to look forward to is the draft, but hopefully a better General Manager will know how to find talent enabling the Jags to take the next step. If Khan keeps Baalke, the fans need to make their voices heard.

Yea, this is a crazy site. No way that Mason Graham, Tyler Booker and Watts fall that far. It would be amazing, however, to land a group like this.

Like this one, also since it is more realistic. I believe Tyler Warren will end up going in either rounds 1 or 2. The guy is a real baller who can do everything required of an elite tight end. Brailsford would also be a steal in round 6.

Yeah. Wishful thinking at best. Unless Graham has some kind of wild medical scare there's no way he honestly makes it outside of the top five in my opinion. Watts is a good player.

Every time I saw a Notre Dame game on primetime last year and this year he's either always around the football, closing in on the action or making some type of splash play. I really like that kid the more I watch his highlights.

I really like this safety class. I think we need to build the lines but if we wanted to rebuild our secondary this would be a perfect class to do it in.  We could get a lock down corner in the first and we could get 2 really good safeties if we wanted.  Im hoping we can fix the oline in FA.  Hopefully Little finishes the season strong and we can resign him and we can get Trey Smith in FA.  Smith will be very expensive but he would be worth it imo.  I wonder how the new regime will feel about our DT group.  If the new regime wants to put Armstead at DT and Hamilton finishes the season strong and healthy they might like what we have there with Maason Smith and Jefferson behind them.  I think we could turn our secondary into a strength with this draft though.   I really like Emmanwori at SS as well and he is a bit of a ball hawk like Watts, both have 4 Ints on the season.  A Watts, Emmanwori, and Hunter/Johnson secondary would be nasty with Campbell and Jones.  We have to shore the trenches though.  We have a lot of picks so if we have a good draft we can fix a number of things.  Hopefully we can hit on a WR in the mid rounds as well and we need Kirk to come back 100%

Agreed. Really comes down to what the hell Khan is going to do with this next hiring cycle. Need a General Manager and Coaching Staff on the same page and in lockstep to get this corrected.

It's really difficult to understand how a team went from 9 - 8, 9 - 8 to now 2 - 9. Other than there's some fundamental issues in there and a lot of it feels like that goes back to forcing a previous general manager to work with a coach that didn't have a previous relationship with him.

Pederson clearly doesn't know how to establish a defense with his decision making hiring wise. Baalke has clearly failed in adding competent upgrades to both sides of the football in the trenches. That's where it all starts really.

Arranged marriages usually tend to suck. Ours certainly did in this case.

ABOUT US
The Jungle Forums is the Jaguars' biggest fan message board. Talking about the Jags since 2006, the Jungle was the team-endorsed home of all things Jaguars.

Since 2017, the Jungle is now independent of the team but still run by the same crew. We are here to support and discuss all things Jaguars and all things Duval!
