I legit think Doug never gets a shot at HC in this league again, which is crazy considering he won a SB

Oh look, Trent is leaking info to take the pressure of himself again.

Agreed. But the blind squirrel found an acorn for once.

As NyC said, Doug is loyal to a fault. That’s the issue more than Taylor itself.

Let's not revise history.  Doug's loyalty was trying to get Press more exposure.  That is the reason he [BLEEP] up his job in Philly.  Doug's inability to recognize that he needed to focus on being the head of the offense instead of letting Press run more and more of the offense is the reason he's about to get the entire staff fired here in Jacksonville.

Doug is loyal.  But loyalty isn't a fault.  It's truly his hubris and lack of passion for what his role should be that sunk him in Philly and is sinking him here.  He thought he could become a king maker, and his focus was always his OC instead of his players.  He's the worst type of head coach.  It's a shame, too.  Because it was proven in 2022 that when he's focused and wants to have a hands on approach to the offense, his teams are successful.  He just doesn't ever want to be that involved on a long term basis.

You literally just revised history with pure speculation. You have zero clue what Doug's motivation is behind his loyalty to Taylor.

Just as dumb as you assuming he has a lack of passion. He likely has a major frustration with the lack of talent and inconsistent performance of his roster more than anything, but I won't attempt to state that as a fact, because it's just my opinion. You should learn the difference.

At this point, it makes sense to some extent. The Jets are the only team so far to fire the head coach and general manager. Tougher market though and he has to wear a ton of egg on his face after the whole Zach Wilson and now Aaron Rodgers failures.

This feels more like the Doug Marrone situation. I could see announcements being made towards the end of December now at this point. Maybe even after an embarrassing loss to the tinhorns next Sunday as well. We'll see.

It does feel like a full sweep is in the works though.

at the start of next season we will see daniel jones as our new qb,and Trevor will be with the ny giants. it's looking more, and more like that article friend sent me might come true.  I hope im wrong, but i just got a very very bd feeling about this.  we have seen last of Trevor as a Jaguar come end of season if he plays again.  His contract will go with him to new team, unless there's a no trade clause by Trevor.

Trevor will be our QB.  Even if the new regime didnt want Trevor as their QB they would just draft one and not sign Daniel Jones lol.

Thanks SI article for putting graphic content in the add rotator. I love speculation articles that really don't add much. We really don't have anything to report because no one knows what they are doing or where they are going. How embarrassing the most talented team in franchise history is with their ability to just go out there and be nothing.

Everyone in the organization is just so smart. Years and years in and we don't have an ascending football team. We have some flag football talent in a tackle football league.
Birth of the Franchise - November 30, 1993
Death of the Franchise - November 29, 2011

Fans deserve better. Thanks for all the good times too many are in the past.

Kingsbury and his Washington offense with his typically 2nd half of the season collapse. Same as with his Arizona and Texas Tech squads. He should not be in the HC search.

In order to catch the best salmon, you need high quality bait. You might say one would need to be a master at baiting.

But could he unlock Daniel Jones' potential? We gotta think the long game.

Khan has to do something. He needs to start with a new GM and then let the GM pick his coach or keep the one he has.. Press is a problem, real or not; the perception is he is that he sucks as an OC. I don’t see how Penderson survives…

I couldn't believe some people put him on their short list of coaches they wanted around here.

He's so bad.

I've seen and read enough the last 50 year to know with certainty that the last thing anyone should ever do is manage by fan perception, because fans are ignorant about 90% of what goes into running a football team. It's why they say stupid [BLEEP] like "Kingsberry should be the new coach here."

Kingsbury isn't the reason they lost yesterday.  They lost because they had the worst special teams performance in NFL history.
