A lot of stupid comments on both sides here. I'm personally not sold on TR trade, but its way to early to do anything but speculate. Which is fine - you got a strong opinion, put it out there. But here's where I am as a Colts fan - I'm more than happy with the progress of the team and the performance of the GM. The team is 14 - 7 (including playoff loss) since the end of a 3 - 13 season and has undergone a complete makeover, has a lot of young pieces, and is in great cap shape. You want me to cry over MAYBE over paying for TR's potential? Not going to happen. Of course Vontae Davis was awful his first few games after not getting much time with the team following the trade and many here were laughing and calling the trade a bust. Ask Shorts and Gabbert if VD is worth a 2nd round pick!

I don't know any Colts fans that are bitter about Manning. Everyone I know is rooting for Peyton - except when he plays Indy. You can try to talk [BLEEP] all you want - the Colts made the very tough, but absolutely correct decision to move on to Luck.


There are no regrets in Indy. Denver has a much better team to put around Peyton than the Colts could have. And the Colts have their QB position locked up for the next 10+ years. They've also decided to build in a different manner - one that will hopefully lead to more post season success.


As to your Rivers comment - whatever, I'm more than happy knowing Andrew Luck will QB my team for the next decade. I know he's a special player. I guess we shouldn't expect a Jags fan to know what a good young QB looks like anyway!

I was contemplating putting Spiller there. I love Spiller as I have him in both of my dynasty leagues, but him vs Richardson is basically a coin flip right now. They Spiller has a higher ceiling, but is also 4 years older (22 years old compared to 26 years old). I'd probably go with Richardson if I was building a team for the next 7 years.

Watching Richardson play yesterday, he really doesn't impress me that much at this level for a RB. He looks very average to me. 

 

Is he an upgrade from what the Colts had? Sure....but that goes to illustrate just how bad their RB production has been, rather than seeing Richardson as some stark talent.
