From what I read, the federal government would transfer the land that is under the old RFK stadium in DC from the federal government to the District of Columbia.  

That doesn't seem like a big deal to me.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., praised the move as evidence Congress is doing its job to oversee the city.

"This landmark legislation will unlock the district's full potential, generate meaningful new jobs, and add millions in additional city revenue for the nation's capital," Comer said in a statement. "Without Congressional action, this land would remain vacant, leaving ongoing maintenance costs and liabilities to burden the American taxpayer. Now is the time to get the federal government out of the way and empower local officials to clean up the RFK site, invest and create new economic opportunities."

I don’t have a clue one way or another, but when they start throwing stuff deep into other bills you can almost guarantee there is something or someone up to no good.

Just wait and see. It was reported by both FOX and CNBC of all people to be 1+billion cost in the bill. Seems that would a little more than just land but who knows. Now it seems the NFL and Washington DC need a handout? Err no they can buy it if they want. Remember this will only add economic impact to one area and take it from another so that is not an increase. It would reduce maintenance cost, but if that is an issue put it on the open market and see what it brings, that does the same thing. That is SOP for ongoing concerns.

Democrats remain in control of the Senate for another 12 days. They might go along with this slim bill, but I wouldn't count on it.
Control of the Senate flips on January 1 but Biden remains until January 20. He might not want to play ball either.

I can understand the Democrats irritation. Last time this was mad one of their own outed the insider trading they were doing. LOL 

However there is A LOT of stuff I cannot see being passed on its own merit. Take a look at that 70 page section for instance. Quite concerning. Re reading it now before posting an opinion.

By the way I am disappointed in the Democrats scare tactics saying SS checks will not got out if they don't get their way. That is completely false along with other departments.
