Yeah. Confirmed. Ben Johnson to Da Bears.

Johnson refused a second interview, and it's become public that he only took the first interview because Khan promised a lot of BS to Johnson's agent that was just BS.

We also are behind on satisfying the Rooney rule. We have only had 1 in person interview with a minority candidate (Rob Salad). Absolutely inexcusable at this point.

Been calling it out since the Jets fired him. Some of you need to wake up, and realize it's way too easy to connect the dots here. Remember- it's Shad's choice.

Also, even if the Coen interview goes well Wednesday, we still need 1 more in-person interview with a minority candidate to satisfy the rooney rule. Newsflash, interviewing the same guy twice does not satisfy this, so still would need 1 more after Salad on Friday. Everything we do is so inexcusable and done the hard way. Can't even make Coen an offer on Wed, because we are run by a bunch of morons. Our luck is he is scooped up by the Raidah's.

Here comes Saleh and forever below mediocrity. He will be equal too or worse than Gus Bradley, you can bet on it.

Losing on Ben Johnson is zero surprise as Mr Kahn was warned Balke would chase away some very talented coaching talent. Yet he kept Balke anyway. Any candidate has to know Balke has fired 7 preceding coaches, , I'm sure they would not want to be number 8. Especially a first time coach.

I can't understand how such a successful businessman could be so naive to think a good coach wants to work with a scapegoat.

Embarrassing Duval again and again.

In 3 years we will be watching bears win a Super bowl, and on the verge of firing another HC,and keeping Balke.

If we hire Saleh, I'm almost at a point of giving up on this team.

The team will move on without us. They are close to moving on from me as well. We are hitting the definition of insanity.

To the few talented players on this roster.....  flee

Let me say it isn't the coaching hire that bothers me.... itnis the half measures. The bone headed clinging ro failure. Why did they bother sacrificing Pederson?

In the most Khan thing ever, I bet Baalke gets extended to match the head coach contract.

This is team despair. And Yes I am over reacting

Agree 100%.   Khan is a good businessman.  He's not a good sports franchise owner (Jags and Everton).

Should have hired the same consulting firm that Washington used to hire GM and HC.

Khan is hardheaded, that’s what it comes down to. He thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room and refuses to see what’s staring him in the face. I don’t think Saleh is the worst case scenario by the way in spite of what happened but as long as Baalke is there, it’s going to be a disaster.

It's amazing what you can do when you're capable of putting your own ego and pride aside and understanding that you can delegate better within a field you're not 100% sure about.

With all the resources at your disposal, an entire sport and league that has 31 other owners, coaches, front offices and various knowledge figureheads with wide wheelhouses to pick from.

He chooses to do the bare minimum in my opinion in his position. It's bothersome. He even admitted during the post season interview that they're a little lean and spread thin in the front office.

Alright? So, do something about that maybe? You know, start from there. Can't build a rich house with a poor foundation. It's just bothersome.

Woah, woah, woah...the bears aren't going to win anything. They're as cursed as the Jags are. It's likely you'll be able to hire Ben Johnson off the scrap heap in 2029.

I keep seeing people on X try and relate success of Dan Quinn to cope with a Saleh hire. I hope people are clear that it takes Quinn's leadership, OC Kingsbury, and QB Jayden Daniels for that engine to run. Dan Quinn was also a winning HC with the Falcons and was up 28-3 in the SB, until the greatest comeback ever to happen occurred. I am sure Quinn has many regrets about that game, but he has made it to the SB. Saleh has a HC record of .357%, fits in perfect with Khan I suppose (64-148). Quinn also has had MANY connections throughout his coaching history. Let's go back to that Falcons SB team- OC Kyle Shanahan, QB- Matt LaFleur, OA- Mike McDaniels to name a few. These are some of the brightest offensive minds in the NFL still today. He then pulls Kingsbury to lead his offense this year in Was. Great pulls. Who has Saleh pulled? Nathanial Hackett. If he is the guy, truly need him to pull a BIG name to lead the offense or this is going to be a flat out disaster.

It's Liam Coen or bust at this point. Trevor will be going into his 5th year as a very underwhelming #1 overall pick so far in his career and with his 3rd HC. Margin for error is extremely small.

Step away from the ledge fellow Jags fans.

As a new fan, maybe I'm not as angered or worried as most of you because I only have the past 3 years to go by.. but in that time I've enjoyed some pretty entertaining football...and I'm going to choose to believe that Mr. Khan is going to do something that at least looks like he's going to try and put a winning product out on the field.

From the reports that came out last week..Liam was always the position leader after the first round of interviews, so Ben Johnson going to the Bears shouldn't be the end of the world.

Now...if Liam isn't the hire..personally I then start to be concerned. If the Jags continue to not address the offensive line, and the CB1 spot I'll also be concerned.

But..until then...I'm hopeful that Mr. Khan will put a good product on the field for Jaguar fans.

Two things to remember.

1. Mr. Khan's other fanbase...Fulham...also felt this AMERICAN owner didn't know anything about the product on the field. A yoyo club that would never be REALLY good at European football. They were right...until he apparently figured out how to pick a good manager for his team. They all complained about how no one in Fulham knew how to pick players...knew how to coach players on the pitch. They aren't the best in the world now, but they are 10th in the best league in the world.

2. Before the Steelers won their first SB, their record over a 15 year stretch was 85-132 with only 2 seasons above .500, and those two seasons had single digit wins. That was with the Roonies as owner. I'm sure the fans in Pittsburgh were pissed off for a long stretch.. and then something changed and the Steelers became who we know them to be today.

I'm hoping we get Coen though.

I believe the pick will be Liam Coen. Nothing terrible about Saleh, but a Coen hire would bring more excitement to our fanbase. His success in Tampa can't be minimized and his emphasis on the running attack is much needed. He might even try to sign Chris Godwin, although I'm not sure there is that much difference between him and Kirk. Both are primarily slot receivers who have been very productive yet are injury prone.

The day after the Lions lost in the playoffs, the Bears threw a huge deal at Ben Johnson, without ever even talking to him in person. That tells me we never had a chance. This was a done deal a long time ago.
