A day late and a dollar short. Khan decides to can him after the best candidates said no. He's a moron.

Has Liam Coen signed his new deal with Tampa? Maybe he will come back to us.

I guess Khan finally got the message when a candidate who got no other interviews didn't even want the job.

I heard they've agreed in principle, I doubt he'd back out now.

Well, the wicked witch is dead.  But  what in the living hell?  I guess he needed all of the best coaching candidates to turn us down before Khan’s light bulb went on.

This is just so bad… I mean obviously good that Baalke is gone. But we look so completely disfunctional. Which  obviously we are… I mean any good organization has a stable and reliable process to select and transition leadership.. we look like an absolute clown show.

Any one could have said this was the right move months maybe even years ago. But it took an obvious breakup from a hot candidate for us to announce to the world we need to change our approach? Imagine being someone new coming in? Does this look like a place that knows what it’s doing?

This has nothing to do with Ben Johnson or Cohen. This is about the Jacksonville Jaguars, Shad Kahn and everyone around us. This organization is broken at the very top. And needs to be restructured and insolated from Shad Kahn’s lack of vision and understanding of what’s going on. Sign and receive your checks. Smile and wave… but my goodness this is ridiculous.

This was a wise move.

I'm not concerned about the coaching search. The folks hired already, or elected to stay elsewhere, aren't guaranteed to amount to anything. The odds are they'll be on the scrap heap eventually a la Chip Kelly, Bill Belichick, Gruden, Pete Carroll, Doug Pederson, Mike McCarthy ... the list goes on. As Tom Coughlin used to say "There are only two kinds of coaches in this league: those who have been fired and those who are about to be fired."
You're Welcome.

Timeline of events:
- Khan fires Doug Pederson
- Tells the media that Trent Baalke is staying
- Their top two new head coach candidates say "Thanks, but no thanks."
- After many years and clown shows, Trent Baalke is finally given the axe.
- Shad Khan has exposed himself to the football watching world as a complete and utter buffoon.

Better late than never I suppose shame it took us missing out on the top coaching candidates for Khan to see sense

Don’t complain. This is good news. Hopefully we get a good gm. Like said above, those 2 coaches are not guaranteed to be hits. It’s time to grab a good one hopefully. Thank you Mr K.
