I'm hearing some buzz about a likely 180. Liam is isn't out of the picture completely.

Rumors are that Liam was bluffing on staying in TB to see if Baalke would be removed for him to come into Jacksonville.

Again. All buzz. Need to see it to believe it.

If Khan can make this or something comparable to this happen, we may be ok. I don’t trust his ability to make the right decisions tho, so I’m not going to get my hopes up.

It is the only way this makes sense. Khan making the move now after losing another coach would be a bad decision from an optics standpoint. Liam saying I'm not going to waste time interviewing if you aren't serious. Khan finally makes the decision.

The question is will Khan allow someone to power play him now.

There's no way this rumor is true. Coen isn't going to power play his "new owner", and also screw over his existing team after agreeing to a huge new contract. This is tinfoil nonsense.

No matter who Khan hires - guaranteed it will be the wrong one. Khan just hasn't have what it takes to build a winner.

I think we are waiting for an offensive coordinator or two who are still in the play offs to lose.

Because all cars and trucks have 2 bumpers. Easy market. If you can manage to cobble together a product that doesnt fall off after the first 1000 miles, then you too can become a billionaire.

Yep, right place, right time.  Took advantage of regs put in place in the US. Same cars (US on the left, Europe on the right)

Brady, Monken or Spags for me at this point for a step toward respectability.

Saleh would set the franchise back because he’d have say over the GM, like any head coach they hire now, and Khan would wait another 3-5 years (Trevor’s prime) to fire the new bozo tandem.

As it stands I see Khan lazily removing interim from Baalke’s errand boy’s GM title and hiring Saleh as the so-called safe choice.

Technically he survived the season, it's the coaching search that did him in. Had Coen said yes, he'd still be here. I'm glad he's gone, but you know there was no intention to fire him 36 hours ago.

You are right. After that press conference there was no indication Baalke was getting let go. At best it was maybe a reduced role.

I'd love to know what Coen said to cause such a 180 in such a short time.

Per Mia O’Brien the Jags were shocked when he turned it down, as he apparently blew them away in the first interview.

Putting aside the hilarity of them being “shocked” I legit think him staying put rather then accepting a promotion finally woke khan up.

Yeah, that's about it.  Our first choice got hired by the Bears, and our second choice turned us down to stay a coordinator.  At that point, the coaching search is completely off the rails.  So finally, Khan woke up and did the right thing.

My question for everyone who is criticizing this is, would you rather he did not fire Baalke?  I admit, he fired him a couple of weeks late, but at least he did it.

Nothing like backing in to good decisions late. It highlights competence and doesn't show a stubborn streak at all.

Yeah Baalke is out ... oh no the owner is still stubborn and he will show us disgruntled fans a thing or too. Don't get me wrong you can't poll the fans and be successful but this really was a no brainer.
