2025 - NFL Draft Targets

The best thing about Baalke being gone is some of these great players will be back in play like Graham and Watts. I don't think nether had a shot in hell being drafted by Baalke even though they are 2 of the best players in the draft.

My vote is easily Tetairoa McMillan or trade back if he doesn't make it past the Patriots and pick up the best OL. I'm not taking a DT top 5 unless they project as a future perennial All Pro and the Michigan guy doesn't do it for me that high.

McMillan is a back shoulder throw/deep threat monster. Trevor excels at those type of throws. The offense would be unguardable having two 6'3 + deep threats on both sides just like Trevor had in college. Watch his SO/FR year HLs at Clemson to see what that would look like - Trevor had 3 different 6'4 WRs. With guys with that freakish length routes (backshoulder/fades/deep outs/slants/go routes) are automatically open practically always if you can accurately place the ball. You can only double 1 of them on either side otherwise guys are running free everywhere else. Focus Free Agency/drafts picks on OL protecting Trevor. OL is priority number 1 after either grabbing McMillan or Tee Higgins in FA. Tee or McMillan would improve the offense immediately day 1 more than any other realistic pieces the Jags can obtain IMO along with OL of course

Graham, Carter, or Hunter on Day 1, any of the three is fine with me. I think not having Baalke gives us some new options for the line. Taking both Tyler Booker and Tate Ratledge on Day 2, either one can win the RG job and both could start working to be the next Center by midseason as well. Late I like Clay Webb from Jacksonville State. With a year on the bench he could move in at left guard in 2026. If they go all out with those picks the problems in the trenches could be solved for the long term. Imagine having Little - Webb - Tate - Booker - Harrison in 2026, Trevor and the running backs would have a field day.

I think he should stay in Tampa.

Or start for indynoplace. Yeah, that's better. Let him do that.

Those are my top 3, also, with Carter being the best choice.

I have concerns with huge tall wrs. They often don't run with fluidity and crispness in and out of routes. 6'0-6'3 seems the sweet spot. Obviously if you think he's Megatron or even Mike Evans you take that shot but it wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't test great. Maybe he won't test.

Carter, Hunter, And probably Graham for me. Give me blue chips or line guys. I'm ok with trade down and take an ol also.

This will be interesting. Travis Hunter should not make it to 5. But, I've seen crazier situations where a player fell into a team's lap. Banks Jr. would be hard to pass up if the Patriots do not take him. Carter and McMillan are both intriguing here too. This is also a sweet spot for a trade down too.

So many options here.

I agree that the Jaguars should have several very good options at pick 5. As you said, crazier things have happened than Hunter falling to the Jaguars. If that happens, I run to the podium and select the best player in this draft class. If he is gone, the Jaguars could do much worse than staying put and selecting the best DT (Graham) or Will Johnson as the 2nd cornerback. Both should be very good players in the NFL and capable of being selected to multiple pro bowl lists. That being said, I'd still have to listen to trade offers and would gladly agree to swapping first round picks with another team in the top 10 with the Raiders (6) or Jets (7) being the likely candidates if they don't sign a free agent quarterback. The Jaguars would insist on a 2nd rounder from the Jets in this deal and no worse than a 3rd from the Raiders since the Jaguars would still get their top guy if they had stayed put at 5. By getting that extra 3rd, I'd definitely use that at some point to trade back up into round 2 if there is a player they desperately want to have.

I would like to see Graham at #5 but I am intrigued by Tyler Warren. I do not think he’d be a reach.
