Tarriff Time.

Ok here we go. The many other countries in this world has been at "economic war" with the US for many years. Our leaders in order to enrich themselves have been looking the other way. After all if you are at war with someone it is nice if they do not know it. Trump is not looking the other way. The other countries threatened, projected economic chaos in the US, pain, stamped their little feet etc. Trump just called their bluff.
Interesting times we are living in.

Most of these tariffs will be challenged in court and many will be put on temporary hold by judges.

End of the day the judicial branch has already been told not to do that anymore by the Supreme Court recently as it is out of their jurisdiction. Never know.

Thank God I divested in the market and went 50% cash last week. Still taking a mild beating but could be a lot worse.

Canada and Mexico should leave their retaliatory tariffs in place, because he'll just change his mind next week.
Canada and Mexico have large issues.
First drugs and illegals. The cartels recently began advertising a new route to the US through Canada. lol Second China dumping products in both countries then passing them through to avoid tariffs and take advantage of the USMC trade agreement. Third Canada itself has a 2x to 3x higher tariffs on US products than we have on theirs. Also they just ban the import of other products. Our banks and financial institutions are not allowed to do business in Canada where theirs can in the US. TD bank in Canada was caught laundering fentanyl money

See if you can understand this: There was supposed to be free trade. One country placed tariffs on the other country. After decades the second country said "[BLEEP] this" and placed their own tarrifs. Morons got mad at the second country, effectively blaming the victim for not accepting being victimized any longer. US Automakers get a one month exemption from Mexico-Canada tariffs. GM, Ford and Stellantis. Although I am not wild about Stellantis as it is actually Agnelli family's holding company. (they are Italian/Fiat) The work done in Ontario (sub assemblies) and Mexico is being powered up in at a drastic pace in the US.
