I vote for Kirk to be released.  Spend $$ on the line of scrimmage (major weaknesses).  Heck, even when Kirk was at his best a few years ago, he still had a lot of key drops that cost us games.  The past few years, he's been a non-factor and vastly overpaid in correlation with his production.

That's my feeling also.
We already have BTJ and Engram and some young guys that might take the next step.  Kirk is a luxury and we need those resources to go into the offensive line.

I think Kirk is a slightly above average player that was making way too much money for his level of production. A good person who was drastically overpaid as a free agent because that’s how you acquire UFA’s He does not have the speed and size combination needed to excel at his position. I will always respect him for taking accountability for a game early in the season where he had 2 crucial drops which cost us a game. Change is constant and this gives him an opportunity to Lombardi chase on a really good team.
