We Don't Need Sammy Watkins
|
We have Ace Sanders I see Ace progressing this year as a even better wide out, than last year. You get a decent Qb, and have a decent playbook I think this guy can be dangerous like Watkins. If you haven't notice the coaches are trusting him more as a receiver than a PR/KR I would have done the same if I saw this guy taking the initiative to develop as a WR. With the speed he has and the leaping ability to catch the football despite his height , and don't let me forget to mention those hands . This guy is Unbelievable. Cant wait till Regular Season New Qb(Hopefully) ,New O line ,New D line , Fresh Start.

Quote:Maybe detroit will trade up to 3 for Sammy I really hate that we can't grab him in the draft, because we don't have decent linebackers , QB , and safety
Jags are in a great draft spot really. I know that seems obvious but they have alot of flexibility. The downside is they have a few big needs.
If Blackmon had not screwed up so badly I would agree with this thread. But imo, Jax needs a #1 wr.

And we can grab a #1 WR but Plz not in the 1st Round. Odell Becham , Kevin norwood , Marquise lee, jordan matthew, etc. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! You suddenly have some really dangerous players on offense that are hard to cover.

I think Watkins is the best and most pro-ready player in the draft to be honest.
You can never have enough play makers, i think Jedd Fisch would come up with a plan to use all his players in some way or another.

We can't rely on Sanders developing into a legit WR weapon. Blackmon's future is a big question mark. We need a #1 WR and Watkins is it. If Blackmon stays clean and sober, just think what the combo of those two could do as a deep threat. I say take Watkins if he's available.
i like watkins, don't get me wrong but I feel in a draft with this much wide receiver talent to take a wideout at 3 he has to be megatronesque
watkins doesn't have the size or the speed of megatron which is what makes him so dominant as a receiver in the nfl watkins is a very good polished receiver but this draft is deep at wideout plus there is such strong talent with pass rushers and qbs at the top of the round (both huge needs) I can't personally justify it over clowney mack or bridgewater.

Quote:Wrong. Yes we see how well that worked in the past with the jags and shack and gene smith. You don't draft a questionable QB instead of a play making WR cause QB is a bigger need, that's not the way to win in the NFL

"we don't need Watkins because we have Ace Sanders???" ....and people get on me for being tough on some of the fanbase.
