I think Watson will shine in this defense

I'm gonna go Watson followed by Hood. I think both players will have good seasons. And will turn out to be our best FA pickups.

I think Gerhart will provide the most production, but I see Ziggy Hood as the most similar to Marks.

Quote:Hood makes lots of sense as he shares the "misused in prior system" tag with Marks. I can see that happening.

I expect Gerhart to make an impact as well.

Important to note: Both of these guys really SHOULD make an impact with the money they are guaranteed in their contracts. Marks' one year prove it deal was a bargain in comparison. With Hood being guaranteed 5.5 million - it would stink if he doesn't carve out a role. I have confidence Gerhart will earn his keep.

In terms of bang for your buck - Doss would make a decent comparison. He might have a decent impact on the return game. I don't anticipate him lighting it up at WR though. If he does - he'd definitely be this year's Marks.

5.5 mill seems like a lot of scratch for a rotational player.

5.5 guaranteed is a lot different from 5.5 per year....

Probably Watson.

Gerhart, Hood (highest flop rate though), and Watson in that order.

Rate or possibility?

I'll take Gerhart. Wouldn't mind all of them being Marks/Ball type signings.
No commercial messages in sigs

He's going to average 4 million a year. Still a lot for a player brought in with the intention to be a rotational player. Hopefully he ends up shaking the bust label and pushes to get on the field.

Hoping for the best as well but if he is indeed a bust the contract still doesn't hurt that much if he has to be cut.  I guess with our cap room its worth the risk to see if a former 1st rounder finally turns the light on.

Hood got a pretty good contract so I won't use him. I'd say Watson...an undervalued defensive player who could shine in the right role. Hopefully he does.

Dekoda Watson I think this dude can ball very athletic for a LB

I think Gerhart has the most to offer as a player, but I think one of the Super Bowl winners (Bryant and Clemmons) will have the biggest impact on the team because they will bring a winning mentality with them.

I know we pick one here, but I can't. I am excited about all of them and what they all bring. DC did his homework on what we needed, what was available and IMO scored big in FA. I commend him for that.
