Players that will make teams regret passing on them
|
Anthony Barr - Mack will go first but Barr will end up being a better pro (and one of the best players of this draft).
Bishop Sankey - Will go in the second round but in a few years when someone makes a do-over he will go in the first round. Troy Niklas - 2 or 3 TEs will go before him but he will be the best TE in the draft. Jason Verrett - Same as Niklas but at CB. Post yours I am a fan, not a cheerleader. Quote:Guys...Sankey is the most overrated RB in this draft, by far. I don't want any RB until the 4th round and then take two out of the plethora of good RB that will still be there. Take advantage of the ridiculous depth of this RB class. Is Sankey going to be a "beast"? I think he has potential to be a member of a really good running back rotation. But he doesnt scream "beast"-like workhorse back to me. Good moves and quick but just doesnt run with enough power to be a workhorse to me.
I'd like him in the 3rd if available. ________________________________________________ Scouting well is all that matters. Draft philosophy is all fluff.
Only two players I know to have publicly made quote-unquote "threats" about passing on them are Clowney and Manziel. Both were in reference to the Texans number 1 pick, and both interestingly enough spoke in the context of "getting back at"/"making the Tinhorns regret it" through the Jaguars.
Personally once all the fanfare of this draft is over, those are the only two players I'd say teams would truly regret 10-years from this draft... Quote:Speaking to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, Manziel said that if the Texans don't draft him and a team like the Jacksonville Jaguars selected him, "It would be the worst decision they've ever made. I'd be in the same division playing against them twice a year. Sorry, but you just turned that chip on my shoulder from a Frito into a <span style="margin:0px;background-color:transparent;">Dorito."</span> Quote:At Clowney's pro day on Wednesday, he was asked about the possibility of Houston passing on him. If the Jacksonville Jaguars drafted the defensive star at No. 3, he would get to face the Texans twice a year in the AFC South.Clowney believes he'd be able to make Houston pay for its decision if he ended up in Jacksonville:
I want 3 players. Clowney, Bridgewater, Manziel. Jaguars have the number 3 pick. Just give me one of those 3 at 3, and I'm happy.
My top 6 favorite posters on these boards Deacon Pirkster Shack Del Rio Haterade Hurricane Badger
Jordan Matthews
Keith McGill Max Bullough Colt Lyerla Justin Gilbert

Quote:Jordan MatthewsReally like Jordan Matthews. He may never be a star, but I think he'll be very good for a long time. He'd be my pick of any wr not named Sammy Watkins to have a big rookie season next year.

The Jags being mentioned is only because we're the only other AFC South team drafting in the top 5 after the tinhorns. If it was the tacks or the clots, they'd being saying the same thing with them.
I really think Barr will be the main one, but i see a few WR's in this draft that seem to be over looked. Also most all RBs seem to be over looked IMO.

Guys like Barr and Niklas are such boom or bust prospects. Both are terrific athletes but you don't know how that will translate to the NFL.

Every thread becomes a Teddy or Johnny love fest....I cant wait until neither of them or on this team just for this reason.

I actually think Watkins will be a guy some regret passing on. Lets say he is drafted at the 6-10 range.

Aaron Donald - guy is gonna be a stud, I dont know why he is not a consensus top 10 pick
Bridgewater - If he really falls Manziel - I see him being an exciting player for a long time similar to Vick
