Khalil Mack

Quote:That would actually be a surprise.

The Rams need a WR more than anything.
Not a surprise at all, i dont see them going WR 3 yrs in row in the 1st. I think they go Mack and OT in the 1st and WR in the 2nd

It would be stupid for the Rams to draft him there.

It would be akin to the Jags drafting Kevin Hardy at 2 in 1996...but worse.

Maybe it will happen, but it would be a stupid pick for a 4-3 team that already is set at DE so he's not playing there. He'd be a 4-3 LB. Taking that at 2 is nuts.

If Hardy was an all pro it would not of been a bad pick.  If I was a Rams fan Matthews and Mack would be my top 2 players.  If they draft Mack that front 7 will be dominant and probably the best in the league.  Mack to the Rams at 2 not far fetched at all.

The Jags 4-3 defense made that a horrible selection.

Lets face it, as good of a coach as Tom was, and he was...he made some very curious decisions when it came to defensive personnel. The Hardy selection at 2, and the mega money (at that time) free agent deal for Bryce Paup who was brought in to play out of position in a defensive scheme that did not fit him....

Like I said, if he turned into to an all pro the pick would of been a good decision.  If the Rams draft Mack and he turns into a perennial all pro it will be the right choice and that D will b very scary.

Sorry, but a 4-3 LB should never be drafted in the top 10. Even Patrick Willis who might be one of the best at the position was questioned as being drafted too high where he was selected.

He isnt your traditional 4-3 LB.  He would be used like Von Miller, if Miller didnt have the off the field problems you don't think he was worth the 2nd pick?  You will be able to use Mack all over the place with multiple looks.

Gil Brandt was raving about Khalil Mack earlier this evening on Sirius NFL radio.  He described him as someone that every measurable about him suggests he's going to be a perennial pro-bowler.  He described Clowney as someone with a higher ceiling than Mack but is also a bigger risk.  These aren't revelations, but they are worth mentioning and I do agree with them.

As the weeks go by, I'm more and more comfortable with our #3 spot.

It'll be either Clowney, Mack, or Watkins I believe.. and I'm OK with either.

Unless we trade out of there completely.
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
