Fantasy Baseball 2014, Anyone Interested?

As Mitch WIlliams said though....every team uses the pine tar at some point, especially in these colder early season games....they just usually aren't as ridiculously blatant about it as Pineda was.

Its for grip on the baseball in the cold, dry conditions.

That's why pitchers blow into their hands.. Not use pine tar..

Baseball leads the sports world with "unwritten rules".

Nice to see Ryan Howard back as a power house again. Looks like the extra work in the batting cage against southpaws helped him out a lot..

Yeah, the extra work in the training room didn't hurt the former fat slob, either... Wink

Call me slow, [BLEEP] or whatever, but I never for the life of me could understand the rule (or issue) with using pine tar to grip the baseball in cold weather.

It's like throwing a ice cube over and over while the tips of the fingers become colder throughout the game.

Whether someone has a liberal, or conservative viewpoint, a authoritative figure should not lock a thread for the sole purpose to get the last word in all the while prohibiting someone else from being able to respond.

There's plenty of options to keep the pitching hand warm. Its not like these guys are pitching in 15 degree weather..

Well, lets face it, if he didn't have a performance like that against that San Diego crap lineup, then it seriously would have been time to really worry about Strasburg.

I see you're winning this week,...

Ace's can have off days, especially at the start of the season. It's like that at the start of every season. Just have to stick with them.. Strasy is going to get me 200+ K's and at least 12 wins this season (barring injury). That's all that matters to me..

Yeah I'm winning this week, was 7-2 last night and now it's 5-3.. I have Sanchez on the mound tonight and Wainwright on tomorrow.

Good timing for me too, the day Chase Headley goes on the DL, Middlebrooks comes off the DL and has a really nice performance his first game back.. Should really help my AVG out since Headley has been junk so far hitting a mere .186

Wouldn't doubt it, he grew up in Orlando so he probably has some state love going on..

This is his MO, let him be. Even when things are bad, they are good....in his mind alone.

And have you forgotten the first Two weeks? "Sleeping Giant was the spin then.

Like I said, even when things aren't so hot, you will spin them as if they are. There is no reality in your fantasy sports.
