In the 2nd Rd of the 2014 NFL draft the Jacksonville Jaguars select:

#1

Kyle Van Noy, LB, from BYU.  That's if the Jags go QB with their 1st rd pick.  If they go with a non-QB with their 1st rd pick then I would have to say QB's Garoppolo or Mettenberger in the 2nd.  Who do you think the Jags will pick with their 2nd rd pick?

I like Van Noy fine, but for a LB at 39 I want a guy who will get to the quarterback regularly and Van Noy is well rounded but not really a pass rusher. My wish list for 39 is one of Lawrence, Attachou, Adams, Robinson, Latimer, Martin, or Richburg. I would be extremely disappointed with QB in the 2nd round, unless Teddy or Carr magically fall that far.

I agree 100% Van Noy I nice but I'd much rather get a stud receiver there

yeah, ball hawks suck, huh?

I forgot, we're fine with the non-entity, non-playmaking secondary that we have. Rolleyes

I'm not saying he isn't good. I'm just saying he is a Gene Smith dream player since he is small school talent

Plus he is a family man with good character. That is Gene Smith's MO

WHen you are the level of ball hawk that this guy is, I don't care where you play. Do you realize this guy picked off 25 thats twenty five interceptions in his college career!

I really want Van Noy also.

I believe the Jaguars have a real keen interest in Van Noy as well.  He was coached by the Jaguars staff for the Senior Bowl and he also came in for a visit.  Don't think he will be a super star in the NFL but I do think he will be a solid starter.

If thats his ceiling I don't want him with a pick that high.

Rashean & MoJo were 2nd rounders and amongst the best at their positions in the league at their primes. Thats the ceiling of player I want with a 2nd round pick.

Love Murphy, if he doesn't sneak into the late first.

I think Landry could fall to the 3rd or 4th. I like him but have a feeling he may slip based on tangibles

I generally agree with this.  If we are taking a guy to sit for a year, then third round is about as high as I'd like to go.  There is going to be a really great positional option at 39th.

That's why I wouldn't want him in the second.. "Solid starters" at LB are drafted in rounds 3-5
10 years ago we had Bob Hope, Johnny Cash, and Steve Jobs..... Please don't die, Kevin Bacon.
